Our streets are dangerous and falling apart. I will bring a budget to the City Council that triples Bremerton’s investment in our transportation network. should be making safety and functional improvements to our roads, as well as increasing biking and walking infrastructure. I will also work with State and Federal partners to make sure Bremerton is at the front of the line for infrastructure spending to augment our City budget and invest in electric vehicle charging stations, bridge improvement and transit funding.

Half of households in Bremerton earning less than $50,000 a year do not have internet. I will provide high speed fiber internet to everyone in this city and end the digital divide.

Bremerton can be a City that supports STEM learning for our kids, as long as all our kids have the right resources. During the pandemic we learned just how many families living on the edge did not have a means to reliable, affordable internet. With a municipal fiber network, every child in Bremerton will have access to the internet they need to learn.

High speed fiber in Bremerton will support existing businesses and encourage the growth of new small businesses. After creating municipal fiber, Chattanooga, Tennessee saw falling unemployment and rising wages. If we invest in the infrastructure of the future, economic growth will follow.

Bremerton's dirty little secret: 1/3 of the money you pay to cover your water & sewer bills goes to governmental programs. This is not mentioned on your bill. It is unfair and dishonest. Our city is supporting itself on the backs of those citizens who are low-income, retired or living on pensions. I am committed to providing public utilities to our citizens at a lower cost.
