So SO excited for race day this year - we have a full field of runners/ruckers, the weather looks to be AMAZING, the volunteers are ready to go, and everything is coming together wonderfully! We only have 7 days and a wake up until DIRTY TURTLE, and TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER (or swap distances/transfer bibs).

Thanks to our favorite real life lumberjack, the Ueland trails are in MINT condition for our 50k runners! You’re the best, Chuck Malinski! (I think it’s a selfish pursuit though, since he’s running the 50k this year 😏👌) JKJK

The Turtle Rock trail is cleared of trees, and brushed! We did rock scrambling with a chainsaw and more sharp objects. Very exciting! 😛

Arts and crafts weekend! 👩🏻‍🎨 We’ve rented these in the past, but now we have our own bib boards! Thank you, husband (whom I can’t tag on my race account) for the cutting and building; and to Angela Pearson for helping me paint it!

We’re so pumped about some of our top runner awards this year- April Shrum and her husband Troy have made some beautiful mugs! These are a labor of love - and they’re currently in the final glaze stages. Take a gander at some of their progress pics - it’s so cool!!

The Dirty Turtle course is a little bit of sugar and spice. The Beaver Pond trail is one of the sweetest spots on the course - about 2 miles of DELICIOUS flowy downhill singletrack, with lush moss and big trees on both sides. MMMM so good.

Seems crazy, but we're less than 2 months away from race day already! Getting excited! :)

Thank you to our trail fairies who come out and keep our trails clear! Y'all are not going to recognize some of the trails this year - they're so well groomed! Maybe we need to re-name the race to the Well Behaved Turtle 50k now.... ;)

Random Wednesday thoughts....How lucky are we to be able to trail run?! Even those tough sections of uphill - they're blissful when I think about the alternative. I'm so thankful my legs can carry me up hills to do hard things, aren't you?

Our little homegrown race will be participating as a UTMB Index race this year! If this is something you need for future international aspirations, check us out!
