Due to the unprecedented demand for appraisal services, some market areas have seen dramatic increases in appraisal fees.VA is aware of this and considers some fees and timeliness to be a temporary reaction caused by market demand. As a result, VA has increased appraisal fees and extended.

These changes may not be permanent, and VA will continue to assess the market’s demand for appraisal services and will adjust appraisal fees and timeliness requirements accordingly.

Montgomery county, TN is in a high demand area so beginning 1 Dec 2021 the fee for a Single Family home will go to $650, up from $500. The appraiser has 10 business days to complete the appraisal

For Kentucky the new fee will be $600, up from $425 for a single family home with 10 days to complete the appraisal.
