Our programs empower people with IDD to form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure jobs, improve communication and advocacy skills, and live independently, while also offering support for their families.

We will remember this weekend forever. We loved having in town to cheer on our , honor as the Best Buddies International Mother of the Year, and officially launch Eunie’s Buddies!

Through this new Best Buddies initiative, we will provide mentorship and support to new or expecting parents when their child is diagnosed with an IDD, and we are honored to pilot the program right here in Tennessee! 💛💚🧡💜💙

Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate the 1,200 friendships we formed this year while raising pivotal funds to sustain and expand our programs.

So we’ve been keeping a secret… the national Best Buddies Celebrating Mothers event is coming to Tennessee!

We are excited to welcome our Founder, Anthony Kennedy Shriver, to Nashville and honor Ellen Boyer as Best Buddies International’s 2024 Mother of the Year! Previously held in Malibu each year, this beautiful celebration of mothers and families will be held at Southall Farm & Inn on Saturday, 5/4.

With special musical guests, cocktails from Southbound Tequila, and unique activations including a honey tasting, flower bar, and even an immersive beehive, it will be unlike anything we’ve ever done.
