As the school year wraps up, let's celebrate the incredible journey ahead for Adriana Shakespeare, Yandel Mercado, and Lillyanna Aviles! These three outstanding students have been selected to go on Trek in Senegal! For two weeks in July, they'll immerse themselves in the culture and work hand-in-hand with the community to help build a school. Congratulations, Adriana, Yandel, and Lillyanna! We wish you all the best!

Schedule for Upcoming Week

Mr. Kadam organized a field trip to Kettletown State Park so that students in his forensics class could apply forensic investigation skills and crime scene procedures in a real world scenario. Students camped in the park for 2 nights and practiced these skills along with learning basic camping survival skills and went on a nature hike.

On Tuesday, May 28th, students who participated in our various AP classes this semester went on a field trip to Mystic Aquarium!

For those attending the Mystic Trip tomorrow, 5/28, please be advised that you must get your own ride home for pickup at 3:15pm from BMA. Also, you may wear anything that's comfortable and school appropriate and bring money (cards only) for lunch!

In honor of Memorial Day, Mrs. Pushard's Homeland Security class and buildOn teamed up to create essential kits for our amazing veterans at Homes for the Brave and Madaras Home! We're thrilled to support the brave men and women who have served our country!

Updates from Gym: Students participating in climbing and Australian belaying.

Bridgeport Military Academy Cadets had the opportunity to engage in conversations with members of the Bridgeport Police Department about possible career opportunities. The students asked thought-provoking questions and left the meeting with a greater respect and admiration for what various members of a Police Department do to keep our communities safe. We hope to see many of our students keeping our communities safe in the future.

Due to the heat, all cadets may wear PT-Gear for the remainder of the week!

BMA's Spartan Navy Battalion was awarded the first Unit Achievement Award in the history of the program this year! This is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by NJROTC cadets at BMA since the unit was founded as an NNDCC back in 2014.

All Bridgeport Public Schools are closed today, 4/10, in observance of Eid.

BMA Class of 2024 will graduate on Monday, 6/10 at 9am. Location TBD.

Art students at BMA immersed themselves in the process of understanding what an artist may be thinking when creating by visiting the Yale University Art Gallery. Students were able to engage in conversation with art students who attend Yale and even had the pleasure of examining modern-day pieces so they could build meaningful connections to life and literature.

A celebration of Women's HERstory was the main event at Bridgeport Military Academy today. Captain Moore, Captain Dundy, and Firefighter Olivo shared the highs and lows of being a female firefighter in a male dominated field. The women shared personal stories about their lives and described all aspects of the career. The main themes throughout all the stories were to never stop going, recognize opportunities, watch the company you keep, and be your best you!

BMA’s drill team, color guard, and band participated in yesterday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Bridgeport.

Congratulations to our upperclass Color Guard team that placed 2nd out of 11 teams competing at the Passaic Competition on Saturday, March 9th! Bravo Zulu to our team!
