This is the first chick we hatched here. Her dad is a white silkie and mom is a black olive egger. We hope she’s a she, very interested to see if she lays olive or brown eggs and how big she gets

3 others not pictured. We are quite busy at the homestead with babies. But goodness aren’t they cute! I have been cut off from incubating anymore eggs for us. However, if anyone is interested I can hatch some for you.

Chicks would be straight run as I have no idea how to s*x them and 3$ per chick, minimum 2.

We welcomed another silkie today and 4 more are trying to break out. Keep an eye out we may have some silkies for sale soon

We have 3 dozen eggs today for sale. Production may slow down as we have 3 hens currently sitting on one egg a piece, I’m going to give them a week with the eggs before I try to break them. So we may have some chicks in a few weeks!

We only had one egg hatch which we are very grateful for. However, chickens need friends. So we reached out to our friends Justin and crystal at The Fern House and picked up two copper Maran x red ranger mix to accompany her. Will get more pictures when Emilia gets home from school.

This morning we welcomed Emilia’s Itty Bitty Acres first conceived and born at the homestead chick. Mom is Wednesday, our black olive egger, and dad is snowflake our white silkie roo 😂😂!

We are very eggcited for the weekend. We have lots of eggs available

We have some beautiful colors! Smidge (far left is our smallest, silkie mix) s’mores is one of our most consistent pilgrim rock hens that lays beautiful brown. Pidge the grey Americauna (from The Fern House) gives us the blue, Wednesday the olive egger (also from the fern house) gives us a beautiful green egg every day and finally we have French fry the leg horn gives us the white egg. We do have a total of 17 but these ladies gave us a line up today!

This is a beautiful egg from the tiniest chick in the flock. Smidge is a “barnyard mix” of what we assume is a bantam and silkie, I’d be shocked if she weighed more than a pound lol. Her eggs are so small but look at that yolk!

They also make great boiled eggs for bite size snacks

Great news! WE HAVE EGGS. We currently have 2 dozen and hopefully another dozen over the weekend.

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa brought Emilia an egg apron and soft basket for collecting eggs! We should have some eggs ready soon! Have a safe Christmas Day, from our flock to yours!

Sold out today. Should have a dozen or so in the coming days. Very excited two of our younger hens (americauna and olive egger I believe) started laying cool olive and light blue eggs this week. So watch for dozens of colored eggs soon!
