The program works by matching SNAP benefits, dollar-for-dollar, up to thirty dollars per market day at participating markets. The matched benefits (Double Up Food Bucks) can be used to purchase Utah-grown fruits and vegetables throughout the season.

Two of the participants started walking together creating an accountability and buddy system. They voiced being pleased to be walking and that they felt better after walking. One of the participants has diabetes and seems very earnest in learning foods to eat and exercise/movement to help stabilize his blood sugar.
Movement throughout the day urges us forward toward a healthier lifestyle. Finding a "buddy" to help support and motivate increases movement for these participants.
This is a great game to play individually or as a family!
