United Way of West Central Connecticut recently faced an unexpected challenge - NO COFFEE ☕- when our Keurig coffee maker stopped brewing.

Thankfully, Thomaston Savings Bank generously provided us with a new machine.

This wonderful donation ensures our volunteers have easy access to coffee, helping them stay energized and motivated throughout the day. Our Keurig is also an essential part of creating a warm and welcoming environment during meetings held in our office Conference Room.

We are deeply grateful for Thomaston Savings Bank’s support in helping us maintain a positive and productive workplace.

We have had a busy week at United Way of West Central Connecticut with backpacks and school supplies being dropped off for the Adopt-A-Child Backpack program.

Thank you to our volunteers, Katie Koser, Sue Casey and her granddaughters, and Cheryl Ericson, who were sorting supplies, packing backpacks, and checking in donations.

A special thank you to the Staff and Board Members of Main Street Community Foundation and their work neighbors ACG North America for filling two bags with school supplies for our backpacks. It takes a community of Change Makers to support the over 400 registered students in this year's program.

While there is still one more day to drop off supplies, you can still help! We are still accepting new backpacks and school supplies, and financial donations so we can do the shopping for you! To make a donation visit - https://bit.ly/AdoptAChildBackpackDonations
