Monday was National Mezcal Day and we are encouraging every agave lover to try various mezcals this week in honor of the rich history and culture behind this smoking spirit 🔥

Mezcal is a traditional Mexican spirit made from the agave plant, much like tequila, but with distinct differences in production and flavor. The word "mezcal" comes from the Nahuatl word mexcalli, meaning "oven-cooked agave." It's one of Mexico's oldest distilled spirits, with origins dating back to pre-Hispanic times when indigenous peoples fermented agave.

Every year, Boutique Wine Collection assembles a select group of suppliers from their portfolio to visit states across the country and Philly was their first stop in the tour! Drinking wine with the men and women who make them, sell them, and know them best was a once in a life time opportunity for some of our accounts. In their portfolio are indigenous grapes varieties and unique winemaking techniques that you normally wouldn’t experience, making this deep dive into Bryce’s portfolio such a once in a life time event!
