It was a busy 3 days of making hay!
We put up some beautiful 2nd cutting small squares. It was all hands on deck this weekend, everyone pitched in and we put up over 2️⃣,5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ bales.

Today was a fun day but a warm day!

We had the pleasure to be bucket bottle calf judges at the Kossuth County Fair. It is always fun to hear what the kids have to say, and the best part was for sure the costume class!

Thanks to Kossuth County for asking us to judge, we always enjoy watching kids get excited about their project.

And just like that the week has come and gone! Congratulations to the exhibitors, Fairboard, Extension and FFA staff, livestock superintendents, and all the other volunteers and sponsors on a successful fair. It was a week of many laughs, probably a few tears, and many memories! We are truly lucky to have the best county fair around. Now for everyone to get rested up and ready for fair 2025!

🐴 Horse show number 2 was today! 🐴

Although we were out of town, so we were unable to watch the show itself as we usually like to do, we are still proud to be supporters of the Hancock County Horse and Pony Project.

Each stalling horse exhibitor had a bale of Hilltop Acres Hay waiting for them when they arrived at check-in on Wednesday morning.

The day is here! It is time! Our most favorite time of the year Hancock County District Fair Beef show. Good Luck to all the exhibitors.

Let the crazy begin! Fair week is finally here, and today was a busy day!

🐮 Bright and early this morning was beef check-in. It was all hands on deck, with Taylor being one of the beef superintendents and Nic being the main chute man.

👑 And this afternoon Taylor was one of the three judges in the fair queen contest.

🫣 Oh and Hancock County beef exhibitors best be on the lookout there are a couple cute little blonde beef superintendents in training on the grounds this week.

🌟Staying involved in our communities, working alongside youth, and giving back to the organizations that we were involved in is very important to us at Hilltop Acres.

🍀🍀 Fun fact Taylor was a lifetime 4-H'er, and after graduating college she worked for the Hancock County Extension Office for over 4 years. Little did Nic know that job would rope him into a plenty of volunteer opportunities 😂 ⏬️⏬️

Monday night Nic led a workshop on the basics of welding for a group of kids through the Hancok County Summer Explorations Workshops. At the end of the class each kid left with a boot rack made from horseshoes.
