“This kid dialed 911 telling the dispatcher he was running away from home after an argument with his mother. This officer arrived talked to the kid and went into his bedroom which was empty outside of a deflated blowup bed. The young man essentially slept on the floor.

The officer encouraged the boy to stay home. The child’s mother facing a tough financial hardship. The officer left and soon returning with a bed, a television and a game system. The child was elated beyond words. Not all angels wear wings! Thank you officer!!!!” ❤️❤️

Mark your Calendars Collinsville! The Fall Community Clean Up is scheduled for Friday, September 30 & Saturday, October 1, 2022. The City will once again have FREE Dumpsters located at the Veterans Community Center for all Collinsville residents to get rid of unwanted items. You must show ID and current utility bill.

The City has partnered with The Met for a one day Special Collection Event on Saturday only. On Saturday from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM The Met will be collecting E-Waste (Processing Fee: TV $26, CRT $10), Tires (No charge but limited to 10 tires per person), Fire Extinguishers, and medications.

This event is open to residents living within the Collinsville City Limits only.
