952 Boutique
As far back as I can remember I wanted to have my own business but the timing was never right. Two years ago my mom died and life has never been the same. A great memory that kept coming to me was time spent with my mom shopping at The Market at Walnut Creek. We would spend a couple of hours browsing the retail spaces and having a great time together. I realized The Market made perfect sense and I started dreaming of what having a small space there and what I would want to feature. Home accents and artwork that is beautiful, unique that you wouldn’t find in a mall is what I always look for and that's what I decided on.
I decided if I was ever going to fulfill my dream I wanted it to be this year of my life. I set a goal to begin in September, my birth month. 952 is really all about setting a goal and beginning something new. So, the 9 is for September when I turned 52. It never occured to me that if anyone asked where the 952 came from I’d have to tell the my age! Oh well...
I signed my lease in September,2018 and opened in late October. I have had so much fun hunting for things that I don’t see everywhere else and bringing them to my small space. I started with home accents however I now have expanded to gifts, jewelry and artwork which includes my own photography.
Things change quickly so plan to check in often!
