COMING SOON: More growth announced for the intersection of Norfolk Drive and Aspen Ave (just north of the Creek Turnpike)!

New Businesses Announced for Aspen/Creek Turnpike:
🔹Reasor’s
🔹Dutch Bros
🔹K*m & Go
🔹Chipotle
🔹Panda Express

This is NOT an April Fool's joke.

Yesterday, the City of Broken Arrow announced Chipotle will be coming and according to Vice Mayor Christi Gillespie BA City Council Ward 3, Panda Express and K*m & Go will also be building new locations along Aspen Ave in the new Aspen Ridge development.

Stormwater work is being completed on the 40-acre site and Reasor's is set to break ground soon!!! The developer is working on many more additional things for this area. This project is much larger than just adding Reasor's.

Late last year, we reported that Dutch Bros is also coming to south BA near the new Reasor's site in front of Core Church.

The city has put in a lot of work to get this development off the ground and give Broken Arrow residents more reasons to stay in BA. For those families visiting Indian Springs Sports Complex, it will provide much-needed food and convenience store options nearby.

More to come!!! Stay tuned.

For all of my clients: Here are what our guidelines for WHEN we are allowed to open.....These are strict and will be challenging, at best, to abide by. I will be following these guidelines and ask that clients please, respect the guidelines that are in place, as well. WHEN I am legally able to start back, my schedule will allow me to sanitize, change clothes, etc. between clients. Please know that your well being and safety are very important to me. As much as I really miss each one of you and cannot wait to see you all, and hug each one, I owe it to you to take our time with this and get back to "normal" as soon as possible.

Self care for this week...

Due to the current global health pandemic, we would like to offer you a free course each week in the hopes that it might be useful to spend a few minutes focusing on something other than the news. Anyone can watch "Self-Care for Your Wrists and Upper Body" with Sunny Klaber through April 1. http://ow.ly/ERd750yVEQ6

Join instructor Sunny Klaber for a dynamic self-care webinar that focuses on career-saving wrist and upper-body techniques. Follow along as she guides you through exercises to enhance your strength, balance, and stability including demonstrations of the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment, a series of shoulder stretches, and a yoga flow for the upper body with a focus on the wrists and shoulders. You’ll finish this webinar with techniques you can immediately integrate into your self-care routine. http://ow.ly/XGEI50yVESb

We recommend you have the following materials available to follow along with the instructor: rice pack, yoga mat, yoga strap, and wall access for stretches.

To my clients and friends, due to a mandated quarantine, I will not be working until this passes. I realize that massage therapy is very beneficial during stressful times but my clients health and wellness is of the utmost importance. Please keep those of us in the service industry in your thoughts and prayers, as this will be a huge financial loss. We live in a great nation though, and this tragedy will become a triumph. Thank you for staying home and helping to flatten the curve. I guess I should also add that we stopped seeing clients just before the order came down. I just needed to post this because I keep getting calls

It occurred to me last night, some of you may not have the same experience as I do with this whole social distancing thing. For those of you who don't know, I was the caretaker of tidal island for 12 years. I have gone 3 weeks without seeing anyone outside of my partner and my dog before so thought I might be able to help you guys out with some ideas on how to get through this potentially scary time.

- Get out of bed.

- After the initial wallow, don't stay in your PJ's all day. Getting up, washing your face, getting dressed, all of these things set your tone for the day and help you feel a sense of normalcy.

- Make a list of things you have always wanted to learn to do. Find out which of those things you have the resources for in your house right now. Have you been hoarding crafting supplies for when you have time? You want to learn a language? Resources to learn these things will be available online, likely for free. You're going to have time.

- Cook good food. Even if you didn't get to stock up a lot, google some of your ingredients and try something new. Include your kids in this...not as an ingredient, even if you are homeschooling.

- Exercise. HIIT workouts, Qi Gong, Yoga. There are all sorts of no-equipment exercises out there. Google is your friend.

- Breathe. If ever there was a time to slow down and breathe, this is it.

- Get fresh air. If you have a yard, get out there. If you don't, stick your head out the window. Crack the window and sit in the sunshine.

- If you have access to plants or a yard, garden, plant, turn some dirt. If it's a house plant, wipe the leaves and pet your plant. Seriously. (Obviously not for cactus.)

- Meditate. Get to know who you are and what makes you tick. For those of you who pray, pray in a way that comforts you.

- Talk to the people in your house. Find out what their hopes and dreams are. Find out what their fears are. And talk about these things.

- If you have work stuff to do, great, do it. But don't obsess. This is a time to learn other things about yourself.

- Let. The. Bill. Stress. Go. Yes, that's easier said than done. Yes, we are ALL stressed and maxxed out. Here's the thing, half the world will be in the same boat. Plans will be rolled out. Yes, be aware of those plans but seriously, this part will get worked out. Breathe, again.

- Pull out your candles. Pull out your china. Pull out the good glassware.

- Make a to-do list and rename it a TA-DA list. When you cross something off, exclaim, "TA-DA!" Sounds silly and it will still make you feel better.

- Pull out your musical instruments. Dust off your voice. Start singing and jamming, even if you think you're bad. You're going to have time to get better.

- Reach out for help if you need it. This goes for everything: emotional, mental, food, ...

- Be silly.

- Ration your treats. Even if you bake, still ration your treats.

- As weird as it sounds, this is a prime time to reinvent yourself. Do you wish something in your life was different? You've got time to change it. Want to lose weight? Want to quit drinking or smoking? Want to change careers? This is the time to start. Make a plan, modify it, make another plan. Honestly, if we're all under the same impetus of social distancing the FOMO will go away soon.

- On the FOMO note, unplug. Don't spend all your time online or in front of the TV. Read. Write. Draw,...

- Check on your neighbours. Check on your friends who are front-line workers and find out how you can help them, responsibly. Take care of each other.

- This is a scary time. Sit with that. Get comfortable with that as a fact. Make a list of what scares you. See if there is anything on that list that you have any control over and work to change it. Let the rest go.

- Hydrate. Wash your hands with soap. Don't touch your face. Sanitize your doorknobs, taps, etc...

- Breathe again.

Hope this helps. I may add to this as I think of things. Take care of each other (from a distance.) Be healthy.

Much love,
Claire

Beyond Relaxation

Beyond Relaxation was a dream of Roberta’s that became a reality June 2009. Things have changed over time...location, skills, treatments. We have taken our focus from a beauty and spa environment to a massage practice focusing on health and wellness, and varied body treatments. We relocated from a 5 treatment room storefront to a small one office store front. We offer massage therapy by licensed massage therapists who are certified in several medical type modalities. Roberta still offers various spa treatments using FarmHouse Fresh products, and body wraps using M’lis products and Set N Me Free body wraps.
