Hello! My name is Marissa and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with Lifestance Health. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Carroll Univeristy in 2017, and my Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2022.
I devote myself to helping individuals navigate all obstacles of life, and finding the best ways for them to cope with challenging situations. I offer an array of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness techniques, Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I specialize in depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, Autism, and personality disorders. I also work with individuals experiencing thoughts of su***de or self-harm, difficulty with managing anger or other intense emotions, as well as assisting clients in dealing with interpersonal conflicts.
