Gather & Graze

I had the privilege of arranging my friends groceries for her for her daughters graduation party 😉 turned out so delicious looking with the ranch and chocolate fountains and sweet treats.
My day job and family time keeps me from venturing into doing this gig out of a commercial kitchen, which is unfortunately required by the State of SoDak, so for now I am still unable to take orders. Just wanted to share what I could do for a friend 💕

Got a call from DOH that quickly saying someone called them, and that I cannot even do for donations.

I am excited to let you all know I have a couple of good leads and hope to be back soon! I do plan on working with an organization that helps fight stuff like this. South Dakota has what’s called a cottage law, allowing people to make and sell baked home goods from their home. In 2022, they amended it by now allowing people to sell items like cheesecakes that require refrigeration (before it had to be non refrigerated only). I’m really struggling to see how this is much different. Balance is critical and ultimately I’d love to be able to continue this venture from home in order to still be home with my kids. They love this little business too!

Hi friends- I have some sad news. I received a call today from the Dept. of Health, letting me know that another business turned me in for operating out of my home. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that I had to function out of a commercial kitchen even though I am not cooking any of these items I put together for you all. My husband and I have some decision making on whether or not we want to pursue continuing on this journey. While there are a couple of options for me in town to potentially rent some space, the biggest kicker is that orders have to also be picked up there. We are trying to determine how to make this work, as I have two small children, a full time corporate job and a husband that isn't home every night due to his job.

I really wish this other business would have had the kindness to reach out to me directly instead of going straight to turning me in, but we can't always expect to receive the same energy we put into the world.

Hopefully this isn't goodbye and instead a see you soon!

I’ve had a few people reach out regarding graduation weekend. I will be able to do 1-2 grazing tables depending on how the second time aligns with first. Taking orders for boards that can be picked up the night before. Some ideas are doing the big 2022 numbers, CLASS of 22, or GRAD. If you’d like the letters and/or numbers, orders must be placed by 5/18.
