Easier said than done, of course, but maybe today’s the day to consider walking away from anything, anyone, or any mindset standing between you and what you want.

Dried oranges with dark chocolate, sprinkled with harvested mint, calendula and roses🥀

I was so amazed by Tara's dried oranges dipped in dark chocolate with amazing sprinkles on top I just had to try! I absolutely loved it!❣️

Such an amazing and easy treat that really doesn't need a lot of work. I let my orange slices dry in the oven on the lowest setting with slightly opened door for several hours until they where dried but still a bit soft on the inside. Then melted dark chocolate and had some of my favourite sprinkles on top. Yum!✨

LET’S TALK BANANAS!!

As I was looking thru my photos from my last trip to India, I came across this beautiful photo taken at my Mother in law’s house in the luscious state of Kerala India. Those bananas were so tasty and nutritious and served in so many different ways. It’s certainly a fruit that is overlooked but never underrated!!.

Did you know this humble fruit helps you lose weight, reduce bloating, helps fight cancer and increase your energy.
They are inexpensive. Each comes with it’s own carrying case and is also bio-degradable, and that’s not all.

-The good source of magnesium can aid in buiding more lean muscle during workout and prevent belly bloat

-Bananas help your muscles recover faster from the substantial potassium levels which can aid in a quicker muscle recovery post workouts.

-They help with your mood. Consider it a natural antidepressant, filled with folate, which helps to increase seratonin levels in your brain. ”Mood boosting goodness” that can help with fatigue, irritability, agitation, anger. They also contain norepinephrine which helps to regulate “our fight or flight response”

-Eating bananas before bed may help you sleep better. The tryptophan enhances your melatonin levels which promotes relaxation for better sleep.

-May help regulate blood pressure levels. This fruit is recognized by the FDA, as being able to lower blood pressure and protect agains stroke and heart attack.

-May reduce cholesterol levels, How you ask? Well, Bananas contain phytosterol compounds which have LDL cholesterol lowering effects according to a study from the Journal of Nutrition. It also contains B6 which aids in heart health, immune health, digestive health and nervous system function

-Bananas help you support a healthier digestive system- with an excellent source of prebiotics. It also helps regulate bowel movements with it’s high fiber content. They support good bone health, can help fend of diseases,They help support healthy eyes and vision containing  prime antioxidants like beta-carotene to protect cells and repair damage at a cellular level.

I can go on and on about bananas but I”m not going to take up anymore of your time. We love bananas❤️ 🍌

Too busy to make a home cooked meal? I get you. That’s me a lot of the time. But I still want to be healthy and give my brain the fuel it needs to stay focused through my back to back days. This is my go to when I have negative time but want to feel good!

Ingredients:
2 scoops Rebuild Clean Protein
5 drops D3K2
8 oz
1 cup spinach
½ cup blueberries
1 tsp
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tsp cinnamon

Parsley’s vegan Rebuild Clean Protein and D3K2 drops are a must for me to keep me fueled and support my immune health. And as you may already know, my go to plant based milk is always macadamia milk because it’s low sugar, but still creamy. Almond butter is great for adding a healthy fat and the extra creaminess doesn’t hurt! Spirulina is a great source of iron and antioxidants. I put these in a blender, sprinkle some cinnamon, blend it up and enjoy as I head out the door. And don’t be fooled by the green color the spirulina creates, it is delicious!

Repost from Our Mindful Life]

Small habits can make a big difference. Get started today with these positive changes:

Make time for self-care: Take 10 minutes before bed to stretch your body, moisturize your skin and meditate.

Mono-tasking: Do one thing at a time. Keep one tab open at a time and really focus.

Ask for help: Not a sign of weakness. Sometimes you need a helping help or a fresh perspective to do better.

Give yourself credits: Document your progress and achievements. Celebrate what you did well and reflect on what you can do better.

Smile at a stranger: Small things like a smile can brighten up someone's day. Start spreading kindness today.

Validate your feelings: You are not stressed, depressed, or lonely for no reason. Listen to what your mind and body try to tell you.

Seasonal eating — eating food that's produced, purchased, and consumed at the time it’s harvested — gets a lot of buzz and for good reason! 🧑‍🌾 Seasonal produce not only tastes better, but also has a higher nutrient profile, will help your body sync to the season, and is often less expensive and sustainable without the addition of shipping & handling. What are your favorite in-season foods?

In a major breakthrough, a blood test using RNA markers is offering new hope to people with depression. The blood test was lanched by a team of researchers from Indiana University School of Medicine in the US.

“Our study shows that it is possible to have a blood test for depression and bipolar disorder, that have clinical utility, can distinguish between the two, and match people to the right medications,” said psychiatrist and geneticist Dr Alexander Niculescu, who led the research.

“This avoids years of trials and error, hospitalisations, and side-effects. As these are very common disorders, we think we can do a lot of good with this and other tests and apps we have developed,” he added.

The researchers studied the biological basis of mood disorders and succeeded in developing a tool which can help in distinguishing the type of mood disorder, including depression or bipolar disorder.

When you’re stressed or depressed, there are psycho-neurological mechanisms, hormones and other things that are released that affect your blood and your immune system.

“Depending on which of those biomarkers are changed in [a patient], we have a list of medications … ranked by how tightly they match [the patient’s] biological profile,” Dr Niculescu said.
