Serving the Cows...

The Care for Cows project (www.careforcows.org) began over 20 years ago, when H.G. Kurma Rupa Prabhu began cooking flat breads in his kitchen and distributing them to the local street cows wandering his neighborhood. In time one of the neighbors took notice of his service and wanting to help assist, offered Kurma Rupa the use of an empty lot which he owned so that Kurma Rupa could expand his service to the cows (goseva). Even though Kurma Rupa didn’t have ownership of this property, in consultation with the owner, he built a wall, a shed, a troth, a gate and from there the Care for Cows mission began!
