Before and After.

I saw this car while doing a photo session for a client in the downtown Brownsville area. The edit was meant to look gloomy and vintage. I intentionally added some grain to give it some imperfection to it and I slightly washed out the blacks as well. I used some calibration to blend the colors a bit more seamlessly and a vignette (shadows in the corners) to really draw your attention to the center towards the subject. It's a different style, for the most part I see warm golden brown tones in most photography but I felt like going a different route and try out new tones that really bring out the emotion of the moment the way I experienced it. CHECK OUT THE NEW LOGO! Here is my thought process behind the new logo and rebranding of my business!
Owls are often associated with wisdom, knowledge, and intuition and they are quite elegant too. Owl eyes are disproportionately large in relation to the size of their head, with some species having eyes that are as big as human eyes. The size of their eyes and the ability to dilate extremely wide allows them to capture as much light as possible, making it easier for them to see in low light conditions (up to 100 times more sensitive in low light than humans). This is similar to the sensor in cameras that is designed to take in light an reproduce an image of what is directly in front of it. Owl eyes make up as much as 5% of their total weight, that may not sound like much, but in comparison, human eyes may have about 0.0003% of total body weight. An owls eyes are more like tubes that go far back into the skull, the eyes are so big you can see the depth of them by looking under their ears. These tubular eyes remind me of that of a camera lens. My vision behind the new logo was that owls have great vision and some of the best eyesight, I want to create great visuals and some of the best media content in my field.

In conclusion, owls are amazing creatures with unique adaptations and behaviors that make them well-adapted to their environments. I want to always remember than no matter where I am at and what limitations I have in any environment, I want to be able to adapt and overcome, specially in low light conditions! (the worst possible condition in my field of work)

I tried to have some fun and be creative with the photography I did today. I wanted an 80's mystery style, something like stranger things vibe or some old school thriller film. The park looked beautiful in person but with the creative look I chose I wanted to allow you to admire the gloomy vibe. Take a good look at the colors and the image as a whole. How does it make you feel? Photography, its composition and the color theory behind it can all be factors in the way the viewer reacts and feels. When I see these types of photos I always stop to admire them and think to myself "what is the story behind this"? Be creative, use your imagination, what does it mean to you? Create your own story, your own vision.

Quick update. I will not be available for valentines day photo sessions as I took the time to register the business and I am rebranding my business. I will have a new logo, colors, fonts and overall a new clean and modern brand identity. I felt the need to start fresh this new year and do things right and make sure my investments into my business are properly documented as a business investment. Some pet photography I did for my friend Brian! I hope to do more work like this in the near future. Pet photography is difficult because they are so active and if you are out in a park all they want to do is run around and have some fun but all I can really do is try my best to capture some great moments.
