Our Safety Director, Jeff, and Director of Nursing, Holly attended the EMAG conference in Savannah last month, bringing back a wealth of information on better planning and preparedness for hurricane season and other disasters.
We are all about being prepared and keeping our residents and staff safe!

Trivia won the ‘Waffle’ basket that was created to raise money for our resident’s activities. We will be holding monthly waffles and $10 spots are available to staff and visitors! See Stacie if you’re interested in the next one! It will be for a smart tv!

A very special couple, near and dear to our hearts, surprised our sweet ladies with beautiful roses on Mother’s Day! Thank you for letting them know how special and loved they are!

Our annual Mother’s DayTea! These sweet ladies were honored with special teas in their beautiful bone china tea cups and flowers donning their tables in bone china tea pots! Our residents are so special! We just love them! Aren’t they lovely in their hats?

Morgan Carter, our Activity Director, couldn’t be with us because she is out with her brand new baby boy, August, but she sure planned a great week for us before she went on maternity leave! Thank you Morgan! We sure missed you! We hope to have baby pics soon to post!
We want to thank these three ladies for carrying out our activities this week! Stacie, Social Services, Trivia, EVS and Jessica, our very own beauty queen, Administrative Asst, who is filling in for activities while Morgan is out! Thank you all for such an amazing week!

Friday, it’s back to the good ole USA. Celebrating the red, white and blue with hot dogs, apple pie and baseball! Some sported the USA colors while others wore their jerseys or team shirts and baseball caps! Activities included reminiscing about their week and what they liked best about the cruise and eating red, white and blue ice cream. We have had a blast!

Misty, our Nurse Practitioner, is having fun dressing up and celebrating Nursing Hone Week with us!

Mama Lisa and her wonderful dietary staff are serving special lunches all week celebrating Nursing Home Week! Thursday was delicious Italian spaghetti and meatballs! They were a hit in their Italian chef hats and aprons. Thank you for making our residents and staff meals so special!

Wednesday, ChinaTown, where we dined on orange chicken, fried rice and egg rolls, complete with fortune cookies! In the afternoon we played with Chinese yo-yos while munching on Chinese donuts!!

On Tuesday we found Mr. Joe in Mexico! We had a blast with Tacos for lunch and Margaritas in the afternoon, (non- alcoholic of course). Piñatas, nachos and cheese and maracas!

Last week Nurse’s Week… this week cruising the high seas! First stop, Jamaica! Lunch was carribean jerk chicken or fish with carribean rice and beans!
