Hello! Hailey Hudson made a series of videos for MASBR to help with ownership tips and misconceptions. The hope is that it will help get pups to good homes and we will see less adoption returns. I will link the video about misconceptions, but there are 4 total videos on the MASBR YouTube page including ownership tips, service dogs, and training tips. Then there is a QR code at the end of each video to take a google form survey that will help Hailey earn her Gold Award from Girl Scouts. It would be a big help to her as a thanks for this effort. BCS Thin Mint Sprint 5K & 1M Daisy Dash The BCS Thin Mint Sprint 5K & 1M Daisy Dash is on Saturday January 15, 2022. It includes the following events: BCS Thin Mint Sprint 5K, 1 Mile Daisy Dash, and BCS Thin Mint Virtual 5K.

Our Scout House is still closed for reservations through the Summer of 2021. We hope to be open for public reservations soon.

Here are some work days:
March 20 Two water leaks in main line. Top priority.
Cutting some brush optional if time allows.
March 27 Big Event cutting brush along trails. Will have only 10 students for 2 hours. Brush must be moved to campsites nearby to be burned.
April 2 I have reserved a Dingo to use for drilling holes for bridge poles and guard rails. Will need as much help as possible to maneuver and operate the equipment.

* Can have lunch available. Machine also has bucket for other projects such as working on the arbor.

We have some great news! Our own Debra Turner is being honored as a Woman of Distinction this year on Sept 12, 2019. This is a very special honor given to very few women in the community each year. This is a major event and fundraiser for Area 3 Girl Scouts and I know that many local Girl Scout families are completely unaware of this event. It is a great event for our local girls and we would like for them to have the opportunity to come and experience our banquet and our honorees. (If they come they should definitely wear their vest).



The event is alcohol free and includes a very nice dinner and program.

Women of Distinction

Our newly renovated Girl Scout House will have it's official Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting and Open House on September 5, 2019.

The Ribbon Cutting is at 4:30 pm and the Open House is from 5:30-8:00 pm.

This is a very special event to kick off the new Girl Scout year and hopefully identify some new donors so that we can buy new windows and finish the project. We hope to see you there. Pass on the information to your troops so we have a good showing for the community.

Calling all Girl Scouts who wish to get involved in competitive shooting! the American Legion, Post 159 serves youth grades K-12 (lower ages depending on ability to pay attention:) in a shooting program. They teach, train, monitor, provide rifles and pellets and keep everyone safe. Group meets on Mondays from 6-8 PM. Cost is only $20/year!
