🏆 **2000**: Project Unity became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the legal name Unity Partners. Awarded the “Beck Street House” by the City of Bryan Community Development for $1.00 per year.

🏆 **2000-2004**: Awarded one of 11 “TANF Local Innovation Projects” across Texas by the Texas Department of Human Services, recognized for significant statistical success in promoting self-sufficiency.

🚀 **Empowering Veterans with Fresh Start 4 Vets!** 🇺🇸

Project Unity is proud to introduce **Fresh Start 4 Vets**, a transformational program providing life-changing job training and occupational skills to Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our mission is to help those who have served our country get back on their feet, secure employment, and pave their way to self-sufficiency. 💪

Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, this federal, grant-based program allows us to meet the unique needs of Veterans across all 7 counties in the Brazos Valley. Together, we forge a stronger community, built on respect, support, and opportunity.

📜 **Eligibility Criteria:**
- At least one day of active duty service (National Guard and Reserve must have been federally activated for duty, not including training)
- Discharge that is anything but dishonorable
- At risk of being homeless, currently homeless, or homeless in the last 60 days
- Low income or currently receiving public assistance
- Needing assistance transitioning from incarceration
