The Arkansas Affiliate of Nbaslh Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of Jennifer Marks as secretary for the 2023-2024 year!

Jennifer Marks was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. She is a 2006 graduate of Henderson State
University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in communications. In 2010, she received her second
bachelor's from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock in communications disorders. Her master’s
degree was earned from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Communication Disorders in
2012. With more than ten years of experience, Jennifer has had the pleasure of working in multiple
facilities in various capacities. She has diagnosed and treated disorders related to
pediatric (toddler/child) feeding aversion, language disorders, articulation disorders, dysphasia, fluency
disorders, and pragmatic language disorders in infants, preschool and school-aged children. For the past
2 years, Jennifer has focused her clinical skills on treating students with dyslexia diagnosis and infants
with issues in feeding aversions.
At a young age, Jennifer received speech therapy services for stuttering. Through her own therapy, she
was able to experience the importance of early intervention in a child’s future. Throughout her school
years, she used techniques she learned from speech therapy to encourage better speaking habits.
Because of this personal experience, she developed a passion for helping individuals communicate
better.
Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 daughters, Jayla, Jenesis and Journee. She and her husband, Jaranimo,
are the founders of J5 Therapy, Incorporated. J5 Therapy, Inc. is a speech, occupational, and physical
therapy company that has been providing services for children and families for over 7 years. They focus on
