Nearly 9 in 10 people will experience foot pain at some point. Without proper treatment, pain can impact function and mobility. Here are some tips to ease symptoms and make walking more accessible and less painful:
Take a break from activities that aggravate your foot or ankle. Opt for low-impact exercises like swimming, rowing, yoga, or tai chi.
๐.๐.๐. ๐.๐. Move beyond the R.I.C.E. protocol to the updated P.E.A.C.E. & L.O.V.E. approach for soft-tissue injuries, which avoids icing and anti-inflammatory meds to promote better tissue recovery.
If pain persists, consider physical therapy. Therapists use exercises, stretching, and manual therapy to increase range of motion, flexibility, and strength, helping relieve pain and stiffness.
If youโre feeling unsteady on your feet or have discomfort when you take a few steps, contact a clinic near you to schedule an evaluation for foot or ankle pain. https://bit.ly/4bEcQfj

Osteoporosis is a serious health concern for over 10 million Americans over 50. But YOU don't have to take bone loss lying down. A nutritious, well-balanced diet rich in certain vitamins and minerals can help prevent or slow the disease.
To ensure optimal bone health, focus on the top three nutrients: Calcium is essential for maintaining strong bones, while vitamin D assists with calcium absorption and healthy bone cell functionโlastly, protein, which compromises around 50% of bone volume and one-third of bone mass.
Ask your healthcare provider about the recommended calcium and vitamin D levels for YOUR age, weight, and gender and if physical therapy is right for you.
Physical therapists utilize stretching and strengthening exercises to build muscle, maintain good posture, and increase stability and balance to prevent falls and fall injuries for patients with osteoporosis.
