Words can't express the heartbreak felt hearing of a mass shooting at Tops supermarket in Buffalo. My heart and condolences are with the families of the victims of this horrific, racially motivated, and violent attack. Violence and hate have no home here.

We don't know everything. Do your homework and put in the effort to educate yourself on LGBTQ+ issues. Need some help? Don't expect your gay or trans friend to do the work for you. Find resources and compensate educators for their labor. Give Parrino Consulting a call!

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance.
TDOR is an annual international memorial where we mourn and acknowledge the lives lost to acts of transphobic violence. Sadly, in 2021 across the world, we mourn the loss of over 375 trans people, most of whom are women of color. These numbers are likely under reported as often trans people's lives and identities are not recorded appropriately.
We pay respect to the lives lost and their contributions made. We condemn these acts of violence and in their honor, we will continue to make a difference in our society so that trans, gender diverse and non-binary people have every right to live the fullest life possible. 💜

Memorizing pronouns is not the same as uprooting your ideas about gender.
Unlearning the binary takes work. Memorizing a person's pronouns, but still thinking of or perceiving them in relationship to the binary framework is a cop out, one that is often motivated by centering one's own ego and comfort. Try to unlearn and interrogate automatic assumptions about gender expression or bodies.

Did you know it's ? Take some time to listen to gender expansive folks and think about how you could be more inclusive every day.

Gender isn't binary. Gender isn't man, woman, or one other box. Gender is a beautiful, swirly galaxy of things that make up each unique human.
It's ok to not know the labels. You can politely ask or just get to know someone as their special being.

Today is Bisexual Visibility Day
Did you know people of any gender can be bisexual? Bi people can have attraction to 2 or more genders. What questions do you have about this sexuality?

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. LGBTQ+ people are at disproportionate risk of suicidal ideation, planning, and attempts. Today is for us to share our grief about those we've lost to su***de, speak about our feelings and share the responsibility of preventing su***de.
But It's also a day of hope - that we can create a world without su***de, where everyone feels supported, connected and able to access the help they need.
Let's also take action. Today we can show those who are struggling that we’re here for them, those who have survived that we’re proud of them, and those who have lost someone that we’re here to support them.
