Our family and friends have graciously organized a benefit for DC Theatricks. They have asked us to share this with everyone who supported us through our 41 years in business. We greatly appreciate their efforts and all who have been a part of our history.

We went to the Cabrini Film premiere for cast and crew last night at the North Park Theatre. We made around 90 orphan girls costumes, a little work on the boys orphans and rented other costumes and top hats. It’s a beautiful film and really showcases WNY and its talented actors and crew. It was great to see our work still alive on the big screen

That time in 1987 when a new Bangles video came on MTV and they were wearing dresses we made! We didn't even know about it, we found out later they got them from a shop in LA we used to sell to. Video link:

This was the last of the 5 or 6 Royal Christmas movies we worked on. We would get the call only a couple of days before filming “We need the Prince, King, Santa, etc again”. We always got it done in time! On Great American Family channel Dec 27th & 28th

An idea for a dance and magic shop in downtown Buffalo was how it started. A fashionable couple walking by on a brisk October night stopped by our shop window display and asked hey can I rent that cape. Hmmm rent our magic cape. I suppose how about $5.00? Ok said the gentleman and I’ll return it tomorrow. And that is how DC Theatricks costume shop was born. 41 years of Halloween memories of crazy costume requests. Awesome staff who became our extended family. We are grateful to all of you for your dedication and devotion. We are going to miss the Halloween rush. Today would normally be one of the busiest days of the year at our shop as it was for the last 26 years dressing customers for The World's Largest Disco. We miss the fun we had finding groovy unique looks for everyone! We even miss steaming the giant John Travolta suit we made and hung each year at the Convention Center.
