We don't post on Facebook often these days, so here's some general info that will live at the top of our page!

We're open 8am-2pm Thurs-Mon with (some) indoor seating, a patio when it's warm out, and online ordering & take out: toasttab.com/breadhive

We'll be at Elmwood Bidwell farmers market from Mothers Day weekend through the end of October, 8am-1pm every Saturday

Due to some plumbing shenanigans, our cafe will not be open tomorrow (Saturday.) We will be at Elmwood Village Farmers Market as always with plenty of treats including this special bread, sundried tomato & basil sourdough. Today's special, ramp & olive oil sourdough, is ✨ sold out ✨ for the day! People were passionate about this one, and it went INCREDIBLY quickly. We made as many loaves as we could with the amount of ramps we had, so please be understanding. Something about this particular bread has brought out an intense side in people, but there has also been a slight increase in unpleasant interactions here recently... there have been some intense conversations on the phone line... please remember that we are humans, we're working with a limited staff (everyone just got a raise and god do we deserve it,) we've been working at a disadvantage since last March and at personal risk for a lot of that time! The vast majority of our customers are treasures, we will be the first to tell you. We owe you our success in many ways. But in return, people owe us the decency of being polite. Wear a mask when we request it. Don't be rude on the phone. Be understanding of our limited schedule and supply. We've been told so many times that our cafe feels like being welcomed into someone's home... we will welcome everyone back inside when we feel safe AND respected.

In the interest of caution, we will be closing the cafe for at least tomorrow (Sunday) and Monday because of a possible staff exposure.
