Hey ladies, a gentle reminder as Breast Cancer Awareness Month wraps up—make sure you’re checking your coffee beans…and yourself.

Earlier this month was a personal journey for me. After discovering a lump, I faced a period of uncertainty and fear. I’m beyond grateful to share that I received a cancer-free result. But not every woman receives that same relief. Thankfully I have two amazing doctors in my corner who took immediate action to help me navigate through this process.

Thank You to Dr. J'Liese Sosa with and Dr. Kenyani Davis with , for the incredible care and support to help navigate this process. Additional gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors at for the level of care and attention shown to not only myself, but everyone who walked through the door.

So as we close out this month of awareness, remember: check your coffee beans and your health. Prioritize those routine exams. Your body (and your loved ones) will thank you. 💖

At approximately 2:30 on May 14, 2022, a heavily armed white supremacist, entered Tops Markets located on Jefferson and E. Utica, in Buffalo, NY. In a matter of minutes, this gunman killed 10 honorable community members and injured 3 more.

As we look at the 2nd anniversary of that tragic day, remind yourselves of the legacy of the 10 individuals who lost their lives and what they stood for. Regardless of race, we all matter in this world. 🖤

This Limited Edition Bean is in honor of our dear friend Brittany Mez. Brittany dedicated her life to living! She was a unicorn who taught everyone she met that there is no great time to live your life, just go out and thrive.

When Brittany was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma, she knew she had to throw everything she could at it. She began exploring holistic medicines and alternative forms of treatment. Brittany started to practice and receive reiki as part of her immunotherapy, eventually becoming a reiki master.

In February 2023, Brittany tragically lost her battle with cancer at the age of 36. Brittany used to say, ”I believe in God. I believe in love. I believe we are all connected.” Brittany had a vision that one day she would create a multifaceted healing center in the space at Locus.

We honor Brittany with this Limited Edition, 8oz bag of 'Brittany's Blend' We've taken our Brazilian to make a unique Medium Roast as unique Brittany was!

With the help of Brittany's husband Mark, and her community friends who still run Locus Shop, we have decided to donate the net proceeds of this bag to Elmwood Village Charter School, where Brittany served as an educator.

Closing the Cafe…Just for a couple of days

Now that we have your attention! We’ve been working to expand the space and the products we offer both in store and online. We’re in the final changes this week and decided to temporarily close so we could properly install them.
