Custom made soundboard decal for a 1915 V. Berdux baby grand being restored. This piano company was founded in 1871 by Valentin Berdux in Munich. The factory set forth instruments as well as the accompanying piano tuners and is still one of the manufacturers with the most patents in the field of piano action.

We're very sad to hear of Jim's passing. He was well respected by everyone in the Buffalo piano community. We always had a great working relationship and friendship with Denton, Cottier & Daniels and the Trimper family. Our thoughts are with the Trimpers and staff at Dentons.

Restoration of this magnificent Steinway D from 1876 is complete! Final detailing today before delivery to PA tomorrow.

Fresh from our restoration shop: This 1912 Blüthner grand piano goes home tomorrow to keep living its best life! We don't see Blüthner pianos often, but along with C. Bechstein, Bösendorfer and Steinway & Sons, they are frequently referred to as one of the "Big Four" piano manufacturers. Established in 1853, by 1900 Blüthner had become the largest piano maker in Germany, producing some 5,000 instruments annually. Innovations such as the Aliquot string, a fourth string that vibrated sympathetically and that is tuned in unison as well as the cylindrical soundboard and angle cut hammers, create a unique voice for the Blüthner instrument.

Our piano garden is welcoming summer!

Phil DiRe will be remembered as one of Buffalo's most talented musicians in history. Myself and my dad both enjoyed a long friendship with him. My dad grew up with him on Buffalo's west side. When I would go to his house to tune his piano, I enjoyed talking about the old neighborhood, its people, and the great stories of the famous musicians he played with. Of course he always offered food and wine!
