Explore Buffalo. Be amazed. Last Thursday was the first day of the Young Professionals Program from and I’m one of the lucky participants this year. Our tour started with the 1800’s and the evolution of the tall buildings to the skyscrapers. From bricks, to steel structures, from terracotta to cement, from arched windows to Greek and Roman columns. From art nouveau to modernisms, there were so many rich details. I’m so excited to keep learning about this city and its rich story. Excited about new friends and new places!

The Face Behind The Name
Born and raised in Guatemala City, Central America, I have worked as an independent professional since 2000, when my life as an entrepreneur started by founding my first graphic design studio, méndezdiseña, located in Guatemala City.
For more than twelve years, I had the amazing experience to grow along with an amazing team, a rich portfolio of clients, and a wide variety of projects, walking a path that left me with the most fulfilling feelings of accomplishment, and the best friendship memories in my heart. Love took me to Buffalo, N.Y. since 2013, where I live with my husband and two sons.
In 2016, I decided to embark myself, once again, in a new adventure by founding my second graphic design studio, ligiahubert. Life is different in many ways, but my heart keeps solid in my passion, the work that I love to do and share. I develop graphic design solutions to support marketing and communication strategies to bring brands and customers together.
