It pains us to do this but we must inform you that we are having to cancel our upcoming Minnesota mini tour weekend that was set for June 21- 23. We received word a little over a week ago about the cancellation of Festival Solstice which we were scheduled to play due to flooding. We had 6 gigs lined up for the weekend we were going to be in Minnesota. This brought on a good amount of expenses we were going to have to take on (renting transportation, lodging, pa system, upright bass + bass cab, gas, and food.), and without the financial support that playing the festival was going to bring, it was going to be too difficult for us to cover these expenses. We tried to cut our costs down by trying to find alternatives for lodging, and finding cheaper vehicles to use for the weekend. One of the venue owners was even kind enough to offer to let us crash at their place. (Thank you!) Then last week we looked at the upcoming weather forecast, which says that it's going to be thunder storming the whole time we are suppose to be there. This kind of solidified things for us. If we were to pursue this adventure it was likely going to cost everyone involved a lot of money. From our expenses, to the venues having to pay us, to the potential outcome of the weather turning people off from coming, to the risk of using rented vehicles and gear, and transporting it all under not so pleasant conditions, to keeping morale up for everyone. Predictably, the risk weighed more than the reward. We are disappointed about not being able to bring our music to Minnesota, but we sure look forward to when we can. Everyone we have talked to through out the entire process of putting this thing together has been very kind and understanding. We want to thank everyone who was willing to bring us in and have helped us in the process Badger Hill Brewing , Billy D's Crooked Tavern, Festival Solstice, Js Down Under, Art In Motion on the Lake Wobegon Trail, Nordic Brewpub , Liz Draper , The Music Mart - Mankato , Main Street Music & Electronics EMI Audio . Once the next festival in Minnesota hits us up, you can be sure we'll be looking for redemption. One of these days we're going to get to take part of a meat raffle! See you soon enough Minnesota!
