Hi everyone! Slight adjustment to our social times this week, with Tea and Samosas available this Wednesday from 11:30-12:15 in CFA 265. This will be followed by our "trick or treat" campaign where we will walk though Capen asking UB admin for a trick (more actions!) or a treat (fair contract, anyone?) 🍫 hope to see you there!!

Double trouble this week!! Coffee and donuts social AND postcard / petition office hours? What could be a sweeter way of showing solidarity?? We'll be serving up Paula's Donuts as usual for our social, this time located in Park 474 (North Campus) from 9-10:30 AM on Tuesday ☕🍩 On Wednesday, we'll be in our office in Commons 200A (also North) from 11 AM to 1 PM, so stop by anytime! 💌

Tomorrow is our second bar social of the semester! This Thursday, we have two events going on!! First is our Rally in Red for solidarity and raising awareness about our union. We'll meet outside Clemens Hall at 4 PM. If you would like a ride to the bar social right after, we can coordinate that for you as well. We'll be at Brick House, 4120 Maple Rd., at 5:30 PM for drinks and friendly banter. University at Buffalo Graduate Student Employees Union, UB GSEU CWA 1104, stands in solidarity with CWA District 3! We are united against bad faith bargaining at AT&T Southeast!

Join us this Wednesday outside Clemens Hall at noon for May Day Celebration of International Workers Day, the real labor day, with a show of community and solidarity!

We’ll be joined by a speaker from the Buffalo Center for Economic Justice, a coalition of labor, faith and community for workers’ rights and economic justice, as well as hear solidarity statements from other unions - including other GSEU chapters across the state! We’ll also take time to address academic freedom and the First Amendment rights of students and workers to speak up in the face of injustice.

UB GSEU stands in solidarity with CWA members at AT&T West and DirecTV West as they enter a tough bargaining session. Their contracts expire 11:59 PM Saturday night, so we're sending the message early that we're here to support in any way we can!! Union strong!!

This Thursday from 5:30-7:30 PM, we're hosting our monthly bar social yet again at Brick House! Come join us and have a drink on us 🍻 bring a friend, hang out, maybe even grab a bite as well as we unwind for the end of the semester

Happy early Valentine's Day!

Did you know that the University has received $813K in state funding, specifically for graduate worker fees? But instead of properly allocating it to the grad workers who need it most, the University decided to pay itself back first, and then would distribute remaining funds to Master's TAs and GAs. Come to our office tomorrow and have coffee and donuts with us as we write up passive aggressive Valentine's notes to admin about how we feel about this ☕🍩♥️💔 We'll be in the Commons 200A, from 10 AM to 1 PM, so stop by any time between then!
