Please donate that old bike to a great cause! East Aurora Rotary Club has organized a bicycle recycling event on Saturday, June 15th at Parkdale Elementary School parking lot, between 9am—1pm.

All bicycles and bicycle parts will be donated to GObike Buffalo Community Workshop. GObike promotes active mobility options, trails and greenways, and complete streets in Western New York. They connect and empower communities through advocacy, education, planning, and engagement. Their collective efforts are having a positive impact on wellness, our environment, our streets, and our economy!

Today we had to say goodbye to our best buddy man Lucipurr, more affectionately known as Lou. Lou was our shop cat from 2019 until 2022 when he went to live out his retirement years at Colin’s family home in Manchester, NY. Lou was a friendly guy who loved cuddling on laps and laptops, head scritches, hunting, and of course all his adoring fans. He had friends that would come to the shop even when we were closed just to visit him. I’m sure he was very thankful for all the pets (apologies for any over excited nibbles or scratches), snacks, and the tips you gave him so we could buy his favorite wet food. Lou was everyone’s favorite coworker and just an all-around awesome cat. Thanks for all the love, Lu-be-do. We miss you.

Volunteer night means community projects and lots of fun, no skill level necessary, just a willingness to lend a hand. Projecting include, stripping bikes for parts, fixing bikes for our youth bike giveaways, patching tubes, sorting through boxes of doom and so much more. Hope to see you there!
