Don’t be sad, the upcoming mocktail on the way is easily THE fan favorite. I know, I know. It’s still hot outside. Don’t worry. I’ll have TWO chilled options in addition to Hot Cider if you’re blessed with chilly bones. Georgia is putting up a good fight, but with a bit of air conditioning and imagination… Fall vibes will be in full swing September 1st. The seasonal menu isn’t the only thing dropping that day… get excited!

❌Shampoo myth: are you using it wrong? Most people hop in the shower, dampen their hair, and slap shampoo in willy-nilly. Nope. Wrong. Don't do this! What you should do is FULLY saturate your hair while working the water into your scalp. Think of the water as a pre-shampoo step. This starts breaking the oil barrier, loosening dead skin cells, and softening any residue on your hair. After you've gotten a good rinse, drop a dollop of shampoo in your hands and emulsify. Rub your hands together until it starts to look a bit like Coolwhip. Then apply it TO YOUR SCALP. You heard me. Shampoo is for your scalp, not your hair. Be sure to separate your hair if you are blessed with density. Make sure you get the underside and crown thoroughly washed. Use your hands. Be sure to work with the pads of your fingers to work it in. The agitation cleanses the skin and encourages blood flow. Let's keep that scalp happy and healthy. The first step to healthy hair is a thriving scalp. If you feel like you're not getting a good cleanse, add a bit more water and agitate again. Chemically, water is the powerhouse of cleansing. I won't get into the details of shampoo molecules... all you need to know is that shampoo is the coupler, and water is the train. Let's gooooooo! So what about my hair? Isn't it dirty? As you work through this process of cleaning your scalp, the shampoo is running down your strands. Typically, this is all you need. This is why hair products that play nice with water are so important.

Even if you don’t have curly hair, protect your hair when wearing a pack! Send this to your favorite adventurer who might struggle with unnecessary breakage. What you might not realize is that most flowers at the market are flown in from other countries. Those pretty posies pack quite the ecological punch! The flowers you see in the salon are from my friends over at Bees N' Blooms. GA They don’t stop with bringing a bit of sunshine into my space. They also… 🌸 Support Local economy- Buying flowers from a local grower provides economic support to the community, helping to sustain the local economy, Gwinnett small business, and Georgia Agriculture. 🌷 Reduce Carbon Footprint- Local flowers require less transportation, reducing the carbon footprint associated with long-distance shipping. 🌹 Preserve natural habitats- Local farming practices help to preserve natural habitats and protect local ecosystems in an area that is developing FAST. # 🌻 Promotes biodiversity- So many species and varieties of flowers, fruit, creepy crawlies, and birds are found all over the farm.
