On top of that I have worked with different types of dogs for 6 years at dog daycare, pet shops and now in the salon.

Attention boarding clients:
Beginning January 5 I will be changing the fee schedule for boarding to charging per calendar day (much like a hotel) rather than per night. For example, if you drop off one dog at 8:00 am on Friday and pick up at 5:00 pm on Sunday at my normal rate of $45/night the fee will be $135. In the past I have charged $90 for Friday night and Saturday night, however, this practice has left me uncompensated for the time I spent on Sunday caring for your dog, playing with your dog and cleaning and sanitizing as needed and also prevents me from booking your dogs kennel to anyone else until Monday.
In addition to the above changes I will also be requiring that boarding fees be paid in full prior to or at dropoff. Unfortunately I have had too many people pick their dogs up with a promise to Venmo me when they get home and then I have to spend sometimes up to a week waiting to get paid. This is not sustainable and I employ a kennel tech who expects to be paid on time just like you and I do. Most of you are fantastic about paying me and usually do it before you leave my property but Iāve had several people take advantage of my leniency which has led me to have to make these changes.
A fee reminders of policies I have always had but will be adhering strictly to this year:
1. Drop offs and pickups are between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm only. In the past I have allowed later pickups, however, this impedes on my family time and is disruptive to the other dogs in the kennel who are generally sleeping later in the evenings and late pickups disrupt my familyās sleep schedule as well. If your flight arrives back in Atlanta at 9:00 pm you will have to pick your dog up the following morning rather than expecting me to get out of bed at midnight so you can collect your dog. Iām old, yāall, and need my sleep š
2. No drop offs or pickups on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (after 2:00 pm) or Christmas Day. As always, your dogs who are my guests on those days are being cared for and played with as usual but I am closed to the public on those days so that I can enjoy some of the holiday with my family as well. I specifically do not travel during these high volume times so that you can enjoy the holidays so please respect that I am closed those days so that I can enjoy mine as much as I can with my family.
Thank you all for your continued support and patronage and I look forward to loving on your pups this year. Happy new year!!!
Do you recognize this baby? If so, text me at 678-776-1317 and Iāll put you in touch with the wonderful lady who is taking care of this pup until we find the owner. Appears to have road rash where it either fell out of a car or was thrown out. No chip.
Merry Christmas from Lacey!
May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day filled with laughter, family, friends and beautiful memories!

Why It's Tough to Find a Groomer for Big Dogs: Explained If you've been struggling to locate a groomer for your large breed dog, this post will shed light on the reasons why it has been difficult.
BACK TO SCHOOL BOARDING SPECIAL!!!! For the month of August board your best friend in our 24/7 staffed facility with plenty of time to play for only $35/day! Let us help you take a quick weekend trip or just some time away and save some money while youāre doing it!
With 4th of July being upon us and knowing so many of my clients are afraid of fireworks I thought Iād share this easy way to make your own thunder shirt at home.
Attention fabulous clients! As you all are well-aware, inflation is ridiculous and that is very true along my grooming supply chains. Prices are consistently going up every month and it is no longer sustainable for me to stay in business with my current rates. Beginning on Monday, May 22 all grooming fees will go up by $10 - $20. If you have a small dog that youāve been paying $60 for our all-inclusive service the new rate will be $70. Large dogs such as Goldens, doodles, etc that are still on my books will increase by $20.
Also, beginning on Monday, if you pay using Venmo, PayPal, etc fees must be paid prior to pickup. Your dog will not be released until payment has been received. This will help me alleviate having to send reminder texts and bother you for payment during my and your family time.
As always, thank you for your continued patronage and support and I look forward to providing your pups with top-notch care in a loving environment.
Puppy Love Pet Spa and Resort is officially āscissors downā until the new year has arrived! Best wishes from Kristi and DeDe for a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2023!
This week and next, groomers all over the country are preparing for the busiest week of the year. Your groomer will have been working extra hours since the beginning of last month at least to fit as many of their valued clients in for their festive hair ādos as they humanly can.
Humanly. This is an important word here, and something that everyone needs to consider. A groomer does not have a machine that they put a dog into one end and it comes out the other end perfectly floofed and smelling gorgeous. This work is done with human hands, human hearts and human abilities.
Every single dog owner needs a Christmas appointment. There is no magic that creates extra hours in the fortnight leading up to the 25th of December, so your groomer is s**t outta luck in the miracle department and they suddenly have triple the amount of dogs booked in.
What sort of Christmas magic can you gift your groomer while they're battling through the madness of the festive season? Here are a few ideas that will cost you very little:
1. PATIENCE: Your groomer may need your dog to stay in the salon for a longer period of time than usually allocated for. They've probably hired extra staff, bathers, assistants, receptionists to serve as many clients as possible and working with living creatures requires a certain amount of flexibility with time. Don't give your groomer a hard time because fluffy won't be ready in an hour like you thought they would be.
2. KINDNESS: Your groomer is hot, sweaty, tired, hungry, needs to p*e or a combination of all of the above. There's likely to be a matted mess snuck into the daily bookings, the phone won't stop ringing and the dog on their table has just remembered they were Cujo in a past life. The last thing this groomer needs is any nastiness from a client. Just be nice ā¤ļø
3. PERSPECTIVE: We all love a freshly groomed doggo at Christmas time, especially if they're going to be hanging around the Christmas table. But if you've left it too late to book them in, it's not the end of the world. Your dog won't care, Xmas lunch will still go ahead as planned and life will continue as normal until you can get your dog a booking in the new year. Don't be like one of my friend's salon āclientsā who got her nose out of joint last week when she couldn't book her large, hairy dog in for a Christmas appointment, despite everyone being told from September that they should book their festive season appointments in advance to avoid disappointment. She decided to write a s**tty review online about it instead of learning her lesson and knowing that she'll need to book more than a week out from Christmas. Don't be like her, that sort of behaviour sucks. She won't get in anywhere next year... groomers remember... and share.
Finally, if you're noticing your groomer is low in the Christmas spirit, plenty of good top-ups are available in the Wine aisle. Gift cards, cash$$$, Chocolate, cookies, coffee and doughnuts are also acceptable too š
Merry Christmas everyone, stay safe, stay calm, and stay cool š

To all my wonderful, loyal clients:
As we all know, our current economic situation in our country is extremely wonky. Gas prices are high, inflation is up and the cost of goods and services has steadily increased over the last 9-10 months. Unfortunately, this is true in the grooming industry as well. The price of my blades has gone up exponentially, the cost of my shampoos and conditioners has doubled.... everything has gone up and I have absorbed these costs in an effort to keep my grooming and boarding prices as affordable as possible. That being said, this is no longer sustainable. I have 2 choices: Close my doors and change careers leaving you all without a groomer OR increase my fees in order to stay in business. I donāt want to change careers, therefore, beginning on January 1, I am forced to implement the following changes:
1. All small and medium dog full grooms will increase by $5. If youāve been paying $55 for a little dog groom, that will increase to $60 and so on.
2. All large dog grooms will increase by $10 - $20 depending on the size/breed/amount of time it takes to properly groom them. If youāve been paying $90 for a groom it will increase to $100 (ex: Golden Retrievers, etc.) Those of you with doodles will see a $20 increase due to the more complicated nature and the amount of time needed to execute their haircuts.
3. Boarding fees will increase from $35/day for standard kennels to $45/day. Extra large kennels will increase from $50/day to $60/day and dropoff/pickup times, which have been flexible for my clientās convenience, will be strictly adhered to. DeDe and I have always been available to leave the grocery store, put off picking up our children from school and picking up from their extracurricular activities late, interrupt our family time/dinner to accommodate picking up your pets after hours but with rising gas prices this is no longer feasible and we will be strictly enforcing our business hours going forward. I know of no boarding kennels that will allow you to pick your dog up at 11:00 pm after your flight arrives at the airport. As much as Iād like to continue to be uber-convenient for everyone itās just not feasible to awaken my household late at night.
3. All of the above fees are based on a cash price. I am also ok with using PayPal friends and family, Venmo or cashapp for payment as they charge no fees, however, should you opt to use a credit or debit card there will be an additional 5% fee added to your total to help offset the fees Iām being charged by the card processing company which are substantially affecting my ability to keep prices down. Iāve been absorbing those as well and can no longer continue to do so.
As always, I appreciate each and every one of you and Iām looking forward to providing top-notch service to you in the new year and loving on your babies while theyāre in my care. DeDe and I treat your babies exactly the same way we treat our own and we hope it shows:) Happy holidays, everyone!
