Riverside has supported the wonderful work of Team World Vision USA for many years now, and we are hoping that the 2025 Alamo race team will be the biggest yet!
‌
Last year, we had about 50 people sign up to run for clean water with Team World Vision, and we’d love to have more this year.
‌
Training starts up October 28th for both Run the Alamo Marathon & half marathon, which will be held on March 2, 2025. If you’re interested in joining the team, head to the comments for the link. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💦

At Riverside, we are a church committed to prayer. 🙏🏻 This past Sunday, we passed out a Prayer Ballot with guided prayers and scriptures to encourage us to be united in praying for our nation, our community, and ourselves. Hey KIDS! THIS Sunday, bring cans and get cakes! 🥞 Our hope is for our kids to live on mission, so we are hosting an opportunity for Riverside Kids to give back to our community by bringing in cans of soup to help stock our food pantry at The Hope Center Food Pantry and Outreach. Our awesome Kids Team will be whipping up some yummy pancakes to serve the kiddos as they bring in there cans, so don’t forget ‘em! 👍🏻

As a church, we are passionate about spreading the love of Jesus, both locally and abroad. One of the ways we do this is by partnering with and supporting local and global ministries and missions.

This past Sunday, we got to hear from Sue Henderson, who shared her “boots on the ground” experience in Uganda, Africa serving with Musana. Musana is on a mission to break cycles of dependency and poverty by investing in and operating faith-driven, locally-owned, sustainable social enterprises.
‌
To hear more about how Musana came to be and the powerful impact it’s making in Africa, join us TONIGHT at 6PM at Riverside for a showing of the documentary film, “Finding Musana.” You will not want to miss this!

This past Sunday, we celebrated as a church 10 believers who decided to make a profession of their faith in Jesus through the act of baptism! Following each of their baptisms, we had church members enthusiastically volunteer to pray for them for the next 30 days. Would you join us in praying for them? If so, drop a 🙏🏻 in the comments!
