Recording drums in the studio is often one of the most beatiful and challenging things to do.
It is an organic process and effort finding the sweet spot in the room, placing the mics and tuning appropriately.

The size and volume of the instrument and the variety of sounds it can produce can make it a daunting prospect for anyone.
You’ll find different cymbals, snare drums & drumheads making each recording session a new challenge with its own characteristics.

On the picture you can see our amazing AEA R84A as mono front of kit. When blended with overheads this front signal fills the center of the stereo spread, adding depth and dimension to the mix.
