On December 3rd, 2023 — F45 Central Burbank and F45 Porter Ranch will team up, put their training to the test and take on the TOGETHER! 🫱🏼🫲🏽💥
What is the Spartan Race? 👀
The 5K Sprint is a classic obstacle course racing experience. The Sprint features 20 challenging obstacles on an off-road trail course featuring water and mud. Climb walls & ropes, crawl under barbed wire, traverse monkey bars, throw a spear, and more. It is the perfect challenge for new and experienced Spartans alike — all ages & abilities are welcome!
Entry cost is $103/person (usually $150-$200/person!) and you do not have to be a member of either F45 location to join — friends and family members are encouraged! The bigger the crew we have, the better! 🫶🏽

This week, we’re testing your endurance and strength! 🔥
On cardio/hybrid days, you can expect to hop on the rowing machine after class and try to crush that target of 200m or 250m in 45 seconds or less.
On resistance days, expect to fire up that core after class with a target number of 25 or 30 sit-ups in under 45 seconds.
Some of our members have absolutely destroyed those numbers already this week and earned a spot on our highlight board at the front of the room! 💥

Just like last week, we have TWO different weekly challenges for you this week depending on what kind of workout it is that day!
We’re keeping that heart rate up and burning out that core a little more on cardio/hybrid days with 45 med ball russian twists within 1 minute!
‼️ One full med ball tap on the ground on each side = 1 rep! ‼️
You also must use at least the 8 lb med ball on this to earn your gold sticker for the day! 🏅
On strength days, we’re testing you guys even further with 8 consecutive, full chin ups above the pull-up bar! 💪🏽
Men must do these unassisted (no band) and women can use a single black band!
Your chin must clear the bar and your arms must be fully extended at the bottom of that pull-up. No cheating!

You read that right — two different challenges to conquer this week depending on what kind of workout it is that day (cardio/hybrid or resistance) for double the burn, but most importantly, double the fun! 🤭
To burn a few extra calories and keep that heart rate pumpin’, you’ve got 45 bench hops within 45 seconds on M, W, F and Sat after cardio/hybrid. 🐰
We’re talking full bench hops — feet go all the way up and over the middle of that bench! Pick up that pace and keep it moving to earn that gold sticker for the day! 🏅
Put all those muscles to the test on Tu, Th and Sun after your resistance workout in a full body, 190m ski erg sprint within 45 seconds! ⛷️
Full extension with arms all the way up, pulling all the way down and through into that squat will get you to that 190m quicker than you think. 😮💨 Make sure the resistance is turned up to 10 on the machine!

- Elbows shoulder-width apart and stacked right underneath those shoulders
- Spine and neck form a neutral, straight line (keep those bootys out of the air!)
- Flat back (no rounded or sinking back)
- Stay on your toes
- Core stays tight and engaged through the entire 3 minutes
- No knees hit the ground
