If you are thinking of leasing space for your start-up business here are a few things to consider.
Location: The right location will cause your business to grow the wrong location will kill it!
Type of Lease: Leasing commercial space is not the same as renting an apartment. As a business, you will have more responsibility for the care of the space which means more cost for you. Know the terms and type of lease the landlord is offering before you sign.
Longer terms: Many commercial lease terms are for 3-5 years with some terms being as many as 10-15 years. If you are looking for a shorter term or not ready for such a commitment you may want to consider sub-lets a smaller space.
