Burlesonites & friends,
With our high temperatures, staying hydrated is crucial! Drink water consistently, even if you donโt feel thirsty. Avoid alcohol and caffeine, which can dehydrate you. Eat water-rich foods like fruits and veggies. Carry a reusable water bottle, especially during outdoor activities. Take breaks in shaded or cool areas, and monitor for signs of dehydration like dizziness or dry mouth. Stay safe and cool during these hot days!
Stay hydrated, Burleson!
Heads up, Burleson! ๐
Another scorching day is on the way, with little to no rain expected, which means wildfire risks remain high. Remember, both Tarrant and Johnson counties are under burn bans, so please avoid any outdoor burning!
From the US National Weather Service Fort Worth:
We'll start the day with pleasant morning clouds and temperatures in the 70s, but it won't last long! Expect temperatures to soar into the 90s and even reach up to 110ยฐ in some areas out west this afternoon. While an isolated shower is possible this morning, a storm or two might develop this afternoon in our southwest counties.
A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the area, with an Excessive Heat Warning issued for much of Central Texas. Stay cool and stay safe!
Emergencies happen everywhere, so everyone needs an emergency kit!
After an emergency, you may need to survive on your own for several days. Gather food, water, and other basic items your household may need.

Happy first day of school to all of our Burleonite kiddos! ๐๐ As we start this exciting new chapter, letโs keep safety front and center.
For our students, please remind them to stay alert on their way to school. Always use crosswalks and look both ways before crossing the street. Avoid distractions like phones and headphones, and never talk to strangers. ๐ธ
Drivers, please be extra careful in school zones. Slow down, watch for crossing guards, and always stop for school buses with flashing lights. ๐
Parents, make sure your childโs backpack isnโt too heavy and fits well to prevent back strain. ๐ Talk to your kids about the importance of reporting anything unusual to a trusted adult.
Letโs all work together to create a safe and supportive environment for our students as they embark on this new school year.
Hereโs to a fantastic year of learning, growing, and staying safe! ๐๐
๐ธ School Zones Are Back in Effect! ๐ธ
With school starting this week, please be mindful of the SCHOOL ZONES in our community. Remember to:
๐ Slow down and follow the posted speed limits.
๐ Watch for children crossing the streets.

๐ Back to School Safety Reminder ๐
It's almost back-to-school time, and that means adorable first day of school pictures of your kiddos holding their special boards!
While sharing these milestone moments online are a popular trend, police warn that posting too much information can have serious consequences. Details like your child's name, school, interests, and teacher can make them targets for predators, scammers, and others looking to endanger your child, family, or finances.
Regardless of your privacy settings or friends list, it's best to keep personal information to a minimum.
Avoid sharing:
โ School name
โ Age
โ Teacher's name and grade
โ Identifying features (height, weight, etc.)
โ Overly personal information (password hints, security question answers, etc.)
Pet and Child Safety in High Heat & Cars
In high temperatures, always prioritize the safety of children and pets. Never leave them unattended in a vehicle, even for a short time. The heat inside a car can rise quickly, leading to dangerous conditions. Ensure their well-being by keeping them cool and hydrated during your travels.
