Such a simple platform.
Who would want to limit other's freedom to live their own lives?
Is it common knowledge that both the Texas Democratic party and Texas Republican party work actively using civil law to bar other candidates from ballot access?
Maybe it should be.
Residents are not in a position to prevent government bloat. We need smaller government, and we need it starting today.

Vote "Against" the proposed CCPD sales tax hike if you want to see more change and better accountability.
What is the CCPD?
The CCPD is a half cent sales tax levied by the City of Fort Worth to fund policing initiatives
(on top of the property taxes paid to the City, and on top of the General Fund Sales Tax).
Why Vote “NO”?
Fort Worth City Council and Fort Worth Police Department need to have a serious conversation about their policing policies before getting more money from taxpayers.
This extra funding will expand SWAT and police presence without expanding oversight and accountability for inappropriate uses of force.
We should first advocate for evidence-based community policing that will not violate the rights of citizens.
Local sales tax will decrease by 25% if this tax is not re-authorized. Vote NO!

It's time to end corporate welfare in Texas! Corporations don't need public bribe money and tax breaks to turn a profit, it happens naturally in a free market.
Well put words!
We must be careful as a society not to replace authority vested in kings and priests with that of doctors and lawyers.
No offense intended toward doctors and lawyers. The are incredibly important to societal good, just not important enough to be in charge of making decisions for everyone else.
Government officials should have to read this Senator Rand Paul quote every morning when they get to work.

Reining in Police Spending Around a dozen activists representing a wide range of political affiliations gathered recently at a restaurant on the Near Southside to discuss the CCPD. What is "Qualified Immunity" and why does it pose a danger to all citizens and especially those of racial and social minority?
If you agree to the simple premise that all individuals, regardless of occupation in law enforcement or otherwise, shall be held to the same rule of criminal law, please take a 5 minute break to write your US Representative in support of this proposed "End Qualified Immunity" bill. Read the attached letter for more information about this bill and how you can easily act in support of it. I just did!
It needn't be complicated, because if a law is important enough to put in place, it's important enough to apply to everyone.

Our President, once again, seems to be woefully ignorant of our nation's laws, given his suggestion of him ordering Federally controlled military into some States.

Lest we forget the numbers, the current US deaths attributable to the novel Coronavirus in 2020 by Dept of Health is 80,682 today, which is 1/3 the total deaths attributable to medical malpractice in 2016. Neither is insignificant and should not be marginalized, but perspective is everything.

When governments pick favorites through subsidies, there will always be losers sooner or later. Keep in mind the effects of these handouts will extend well beyond the scope of the current crises and will negatively impact free market forces for an unknown period.

We are being deceived! And it's time we all acknowledge it.
Despite what the headlines may say, rather than meeting to address the health concerns that they claim are their priority, the US Senate instead seizes the opportunity to try to pass their latest pet projects to seize more control over our privacy and independence.
Please consider taking a look at this page and use it to write your representatives to protest the EARN It Act (S 3398), authored by senators Graham and Blumenthal.
If it is passed, would force tech companies by law to turn over encryption keys and other privacy mechanisms to certain government entities in the stated interest of preventing child trafficking. Using this as the claim, they would at last have their long sought prize of written legal permission to scan every communication you or I send, even if it's encrypted.
As you can see, it has bipartisan support because sitting politicians of both sides stand to gain directly from blocking any impediments to their continued re-election and other power grabs.

When speaking to others locally I find the election structure and rules in Texas are not well known. This is evidence that the Old parties want to "help" you choose who your vote is, and do not respect your opinion enough to leave elections open to everyone.
