Today is the last day to register students for school. Remember that EVERY student needs to register in person at Mountain View Elementary. Today's registration hours are from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. Class lists are available when you come to register. If you registered your new kindergarten student in April, you don't need to re-register them now.
We are getting things ready for school to start and here are a few important things for you to know: Our School Supply Lists are on our school website. They are under the "About our School" and "For Parents" tabs at the top of the page.
Registration is August 6 from 8:00 -2:00 and August 7 from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. All registration will be in person at Mountain View Elementary. Please bring proof of your current address. New students need to also bring their birth certificate and immunization records.

Cassia County School District is excited to introduce you to Mrs. Melina Ficek, who will be the new Principal of Mountain View Elementary beginning the 2024-2025 school year.
Melina Ficek is married to Jeramie and they have 3 grown children, 2 son-in-laws, and 1 grandson.
Melina began her career in education in 2011 and has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. She taught for 9 years before moving to be an administrator at Raft River Elementary and Albion Elementary. She is passionate about early literacy and reading.
Melina will greatly miss the communities, staff, and students of Malta and Albion. She is very excited to be able to serve the staff, students, and families of Mountain View and is looking forward to new challenges and adventures.
Field Day is on Tuesday! Don't forget money if you want to buy concessions from the PTO. Please dress for the weather! Wear sunscreen and tennis shoes and hats are allowed outside!
Congratulations Tyce Jones! He represented Mountain View and took 3rd place in the District Spelling Bee.
It's Teacher Appreciation Week next week. If you want to do something nice for your teacher, the PTO has a few suggestions.

For those interested with students in need of immunizations, there will be a South Central Public Health immunization clinic held on April 12th at Dworshak Elementary from 8 am - 3 pm. No appointment is needed, so feel free to come on over!

🙌🙌Our Must-See Free Community Event with Alex Boye is now schedule for March 4th, and is quickly approaching! Mark your calendars & clear your schedule - You won't want to miss it! Alex will also be visiting with students that morning, and with staff that afternoon, so there will be an early release on March 4th for all students, with no school for kindergarten only.
The community event will be held on March 4th from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the King Fine Arts Center at Burley High School. There will also be a Potato Bar at BHS Cafeteria from 6:00 - 6:45 PM (Free to the first 300 people who come – Sponsored by PAuSe).

Instead of our Crush Fundraiser this year, we will be holding a special VALENTINE'S DOLLAR DAY on February 1. During their lunch, students can buy gifts for friends and family. Morning Kindergarten and Preschool students will be able to purchase things at 10:30. There will be soda, cookies, toys, and more!
