Every surface, from the mirror-framed wall to the seamless cabinetry, breathes a quiet calm, infusing the space with the tranquil essence of a Southern California vibe. The natural grain of the wood reflects simplicity, balancing sophistication with an understated ease. In the adjacent TV room, the continuity of this wood detailing creates a sense of flow, where relaxation and refinement coexist. The dark, rounded swivel CB2 chair anchors the space with its presence, a subtle nod to the gentle curves of the coastline, while the open layout calls into the promise of endless summer days.

Cozy and laid-back, this dining space combines warm wood tones, with plenty of natural light, perfect for relaxed gatherings. The simple design and inviting textures create a comfortable vibe that feels right at home in SoCal.

Sunlight spills through the skylight, pouring warmth into this serene Pasadena retreat. The airy, vaulted ceilings echo the open skies of an LA summer, while soft, natural wood tones ground the space in quiet elegance. A cowhide rug lies casually on the oak floors, bridging the soft lines of contemporary furnishings with the raw texture of nature. Plush seating invites you to sink in, framed by the play of shadows and light. It’s a moment of calm—like an early morning walk along the beach before the city stirs awake. Through the open frame, summer unfurls, with its warm caress and sunlit hues, as the custom ping pong table stands like an altar to fleeting moments. A single figure reclines, capturing the season’s quiet pause—a place where time, like the game, is measured in gentle volleys and the soft echo of laughter.

In the stillness of a room, objects find their voice. The marble bust whispers tales of innocence, while the blue vases stand sentinel, guardians of unspoken dreams. A lamp, cloaked in white, waits patiently for dusk. Each piece, timeless, echoes a quiet grace, a moment frozen in 2018, yet endlessly unfolding.

Driving down El Camino Real in , I spotted a gem in a consignment store window: a 1984 lounge chair, in pristine condition and at an irresistible price. It’s a serendipitous find, bringing me back to my early days when Starck’s designs shaped my own aesthetic journey.

When I heard about your passing, I felt very sad. You had been one of the most honest, encouraging, and kind hearted person that I had the greatest pleasure to have known and worked with. Your exuberance and warmth, your excitement in seeing the designs that I come up with, and your joy in being in the spaces that I have created for you, Gordon, and August are one of the most memorable moments I have of you. I’ll miss you Darcy. You’re the best.

An outdoor ping pong table we designed for a client that’s truly all-weather. The table surface is made of 3/4” thick 3form Chroma panels framed in a matte black powder coated steel frame, with adjustable feet levelers, and storage drawers.
