Based in Burlington, MA and founded in 2021 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Essence et Sérénité was started as a mother-and-son desire to work in close partnership to create a meaningful brand after reflecting on our journey from Haiti to Massachusetts, and the new path that we wanted to take. The second aromatherapy mist in our "Un Jour d'Automne (A Day in Autumn)" collection is Cœur d'Automne (Autumn Heart). In the heart of autumn in New England, I always seek the warmth of pumpkin-like scents. For that reason, this blend is dominated by the spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, evoking the cozy essence of pumpkin. Rose and geranium add sweet comfort, bridging the heart notes. The top notes of citrusy mandarin, sweet orange, and earthy caraway create a vibrant start, while the base notes of vanilla, benzoin, and sandalwood evoke a grounding sense of comfort. Together, these notes fuse to create a rich, spicy-sweet aroma that captures the heart of autumn.

Inspired by the scents we love during New England falls, I crafted Éveil d'Automne, a limited edition and 100% natural aromatherapy home mist. This is the first in our series of three home mists from the "Un Jour d'Automne (A Day in Autumn)" collection, designed to capture the warmth and brightness we seek on a fall morning. Sweet orange and mandarin dominate this composition with their citrusy, fresh, sweet aromas, combined with Caraway’s earthy spice. The warm spices of cardamom and nutmeg, softened by geranium's sweet floral notes, add depth, while vanilla, benzoin, and sandalwood bring a comforting and grounding touch.

One of my favorite seasons in New England is fall. The air turns crisp, temperatures drop, and the leaves shift to beautiful shades of gold, orange, and brown. During this time, we naturally gravitate toward warmer, spicier, and sweeter scents. With that in mind, I created a 100% natural and limited edition collection called "Un Jour d'Automne (A Day in Autumn)." This collection comprises three aromatherapy home mists that capture the essence of a fall day.
Éveil d'Automne (Autumn Awakening) walks you through the scents we love on fall mornings—fresh, citrusy, and spicy aromas. Cœur d'Automne (Heart of Autumn) is designed for midday, offering deeper, richer spices that embody the heart of the season. Finally, Nuit d'Automne (Autumn Night) embraces your space with a warm, cozy vanilla scent in the evening.
