Yesterday was a day to celebrate our Class of 2024! We started the day out with a Senior “Clap Out”, where seniors visited and walked the halls of their previous schools in their caps and gowns, and ended the day with some fun at their Senior Picnic. A huge shout out goes to our senior parents and the PTA for putting together an amazing night of games, fun and prizes for our seniors!

Next year, McKenna will be playing soccer at Felician University, and Kaitlyn will be playing softball at Goldey-Beacom College! Last night was a night to celebrate! We recognized students’ achievements across different subject areas at the Departmental Awards Ceremony, then we held our annual Scholarship Night Awards Ceremony for seniors receiving a variety of scholarships. Collectively, our senior class was awarded over $770,000 in scholarships!! We are so of all of our students who received awards and scholarships last night, congratulations on all of your achievements! ⭐️💙
Last night, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our student-athletes at the Athletic Awards Banquet! We honored athletes from all sports for their dedication, hard work and outstanding performances throughout the year. On Friday, BCHS hosted grades 9-12 for a talent show. There were 11 student performances, plus 2 surprise guests. Congratulations to our winners, 3rd Place- Jess, 2nd Place- Ezekiel, and 1st Place- La’Donna! Great job to everyone who took the time and had the courage to get up there and perform! All of our students involved did a fantastic job! 🎤

Juniors and Seniors spent the afternoon in an “After the Fire” presentation yesterday. Thank you to Alvaro Llanos and Shawn Simons for sharing your story and being so open with our students, it truly was inspiring to hear about your perseverance and courage through the obstacles you faced. A special thank you also goes out to Fire Marshal, Ross Kownatsky, for sponsoring this event and opening the dialogue about fire prevention and safety with our students. Our students learned so much from this presentation and were inspired by Shawn and Alvaro’s story! 💙

Principal Arbelaez made a special guest performance at our spring concert on Friday!
On Friday, we wrapped up our Celebration of the Arts week with our spring concert directed by Mr. Cajio and Mr. Bishop. There were incredible performances by the BCHS Concert Choir, Concert Band, School of Rock, Jazz Band, the Percussion Ensemble and a special performance by Principal Arbelaez! We couldn’t be more proud of all of our students who performed, especially our seniors who put on their final show here at BCHS. Congratulations to all on a wonderful show, what a great way to end the week! 🎶💙

Yesterday, the BCHS Robotics team, led by Mr. Pearl, was presented with the Judges’ Award from the Lehigh District Championship. The award was presented by FIRST Robotics executive, Frank Farrell. The Judges’ Award is given to the FIRST Robotics team at the Lehigh District Championship for their performance, unique efforts, or dynamics that merit recognition by the judging panel. Congratulations BCHS Robotics Team! 🤖💙
