Nicole created a l’il field of grasshoppers this weekend! Her springtime influenced ladder flow opened our hips and hamstrings and awakened our core and arm strength required to get us into ‘baby grasshopper’ pose. Despite being considered an advanced and challenging asana we had a great time pushing our edge in order to unearth our potential all while having some laughs along the way! Make sure to sign up now for next Saturday 7:45AM to see what she has planned for us next! 🌱🐥🪺🐇🦋🐸🐝

Melt your hips & soften your hearts today! When the heart chakra is balanced, we experience a sense of inner peace, harmony, and interconnectedness with all living beings. We are able to navigate life’s challenges with grace and equanimity, maintaining emotional stability and resilience.… 9AM Beginner Friendly Flow with Abby 5:45 Heated Flow with Ginger 7PM Hips & Heart Workshop with Ginger The heart chakra, known in Sanskrit as “Anahata,” is one of the seven main chakras in the human body according to Hindu and yogic traditions. It’s located in the center of the chest, at the level of the heart, and it serves as the bridge between the lower, more material chakras (root, sacral, and solar plexus) and the higher, more spiritual chakras (throat, third eye, and crown). The heart chakra is associated with various aspects of our emotional and spiritual well-being: ❤️Love and Compassion: It governs our ability to love and connect with others unconditionally, as well as to experience empathy and compassion. ❤️Relationships: The heart chakra influences our relationships with others, including romantic partners, family, friends, and the broader community. It helps us to establish healthy boundaries, maintain harmonious relationships, and cultivate mutual respect and understanding. ❤️Forgiveness and Healing: This chakra is linked to forgiveness and healing, both of ourselves and others. It allows us to release past hurts, resentments, and emotional wounds, promoting inner peace and emotional balance. ❤️Acceptance and Gratitude: The heart chakra encourages acceptance of oneself and others, regardless of flaws or imperfections. It fosters a sense of gratitude for life’s blessings and encourages us to see the beauty and goodness in ourselves and the world around us. ❤️Balance and Harmony: When the heart chakra is balanced, we experience a sense of inner peace, harmony, and interconnectedness with all living beings. One of the most important findings that emerged from the Yoga Alliance’s Yoga in the World Research study was the overwhelming number of respondents across the 10 surveyed countries who cited “stress release” as a primary reason for practicing yoga. This is a shift from the previous 2016 Yoga in the America survey findings. It’s a pretty stark contrast, which is fitting given the events of the last several years. The release of the study coincides with a recently published report on stress by the American Psychological Association, explains Dr. Gail Parker, a psychologist, certified yoga therapist, author, and president of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance. Titled “Stress in America 2023,” the report concludes there is “mounting evidence that our society is experiencing the psychological impacts of a collective trauma.” #yogajournal #yogajourney #stressrelief #rootsyogaburlington

Tom Turner talks and tunes us in to Yin! Not an easy job holding space for us all through these long deliberate holds. Yin Yoga is slow-paced style of yoga that incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with poses that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles of yoga. Advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more, last night Tom had us hold our poses for three minutes and more depending on the looks on our faces 🤣 & the sounds we were making. He takes such good care 🙏. Stay tuned for the next one in August 😁! #yinyoga #rootsyogaburlington
