Our Story
The Digital Forensics & Cybersecuirty (DFCS) Academy at Champlain College is a pre-college program that serves to provide high school students the opportunity to get hands on training in digital forensics and cybersecurity before attending college.
Our DFCS Academy helps students get ready for what they need to know to enter in to the field of digital forensics and cybersecurity. It is a demanding 14 day residential program. We offer a stimulating curriculum designed to introduce students to the rigors of studying Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity at the college level. Our students come to experience the hands on curriculum and instruction of Champlain College's Leahy Center for Digital Investigation by working with faculty/staff from the Information System & Technology Division.
Our curriculum requires that students are dedicated to working hard while they are here so that they can get the most out of this exciting program. Our teachers are Champlain College professors and industry experts who are passionate about what they do and who have direct experience in digital forensics and cybersecurity. Each day provides classroom instruction and hands on lab work. We also end each day with time for relaxation and fun.
Students leave here with a better understanding of cybersecurity, digital forensics, teamwork, networking, and many other useful skills that technical interns and employees use daily.
