District 191 offices, schools and programs are closed on June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. This includes all academic, enrichment, athletics and childcare programming, as well as community meal services. Programming will resume as normal on Thursday, June 20.

Juneteenth recognizes the historical pronouncement of the abolition of slavery on June 19, 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation was said to have been first publicly read in Texas by Union soldiers.

๐ŸŒŸThis week, we're putting a well-deserved spotlight on our own Mr. Lepper, an integral part of our community for 2 amazing years ๐ŸŒŸ

Mr. Lepper is a proud Minnesotan and loves his job as an associate principal at Nicollet Middle School. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›

He truly stands out for his commitment to our students and families. His passion for education and community shines through his dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for learning. He believes in the potential of every student and works tirelessly to make sure they have the opportunities they need to succeed.

Beyond his job, his life is filled with the things he loves: quality family times at Rainy Lake, where he grew up; golfing โ›ณ๏ธwhenever he gets the chance; and engaging in sports talk, especially if it's about the Vikings๐Ÿˆ or Vegas golden knights hockey๐Ÿ’.

Let's give a big shoutout to him for not just being a fantastic associate principal, but for being a great person who inspires those around him. Your ISD 191 family appreciates you!
