Nicollet Middle School

District 191 offices, schools and programs are closed on June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. This includes all academic, enrichment, athletics and childcare programming, as well as community meal services. Programming will resume as normal on Thursday, June 20.

Juneteenth recognizes the historical pronouncement of the abolition of slavery on June 19, 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation was said to have been first publicly read in Texas by Union soldiers.

Our lovely and amazing school counselors and social worker accidentally twinned in matching stripe shirts today. It looks like great minds really do think alike!

The first day of 5th grade visit to Nicollet Middle School was a success, and our 6th grade student panel did an excellent job answering all the questions from the incoming 6th graders!

Another great day at Vista View Elementary! Our Nicollet Middle School NJHS students helped in the classroom and read books to the students. What a fun day!

⭐️The final track meet of the season at Burnsville High School was a great success! The energy was high as students, parents, and staff cheered on our team. We're so proud of our students' hard work and dedication throughout the season! 👏👏👏

Performances of True Drama: The Tragicomic Real Story of Middle School Non-Musical will be 👇

Saturday, May 4, 1:00 P.M. & 7:00 P.M.

All performances will be held in the Nicollet Gymnasium.
Expected run-time is around 100 minutes, including a 12-minute intermission.

🎫 Two types of tickets are available for each scheduled performance:
• Tickets to attend in-person at Nicollet Middle School, and

• “Virtual Stream” tickets which allow the purchaser to watch the live performance via any internet-connected device.

◦ Virtual stream is available for Saturday matinee and Saturday night performances only.

• We kindly ask that a ticket be purchased for each individual watching the performance, regardless of the number of screens.

All Advance in-person tickets cost $9 and are General Admission.
Tickets purchased at the door will increase to $10.
All Virtual Stream tickets cost $10. An access code will be emailed to the purchaser in advance of the performance.

🍪 Today in FACS class, our 6th graders were all about cookies! It was amazing to see them so focused and working hard as they mixed, measured, and baked. Not only are they learning valuable cooking skills, but they're having lots of fun🌟 Love seeing our students enjoy and engage in their learning like this!

Mr. Lepper is a proud Minnesotan and loves his job as an associate principal at Nicollet Middle School. 💛🖤💛

He truly stands out for his commitment to our students and families. His passion for education and community shines through his dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for learning. He believes in the potential of every student and works tirelessly to make sure they have the opportunities they need to succeed.

Beyond his job, his life is filled with the things he loves: quality family times at Rainy Lake, where he grew up; golfing ⛳️whenever he gets the chance; and engaging in sports talk, especially if it's about the Vikings🏈 or Vegas golden knights hockey🏒.

🌟 A big thank you to our incredible assistant superintendent, Dr. Bellmont! 🌟 Today, he showed such thoughtfulness and kindness by bringing Chick-fil-A treats for several of our students who had to wait a bit longer for one of our new students to get on the bus.
