Local water temps in the mid to upper 40's Fish bitting but not aggressively. Marking fish in 4-9' amid heavy weeds. Looking forward to slightly higher water temps but it looks like OAT will dip into the 20's at night next week..
Utilizing Livescope when trolling greatly improves your odds that your lure is not only running true but is running at the correct depth. You can also use it as a learning tool. Not only can you see how fish react to your lure but you can also tell if you need to change the size, running style or lure color or pattern. Garmin Marine Garmin 1022 GPS Map LVS+ 34
September is my favorite time of year! It is musky season!! When the water starts to cool down it's time to troll. Cover a lot of water, very your speed between 3 and 5 mile an hour, and use erratic running lures such as 10-in headlocks, matlocks, Grandma's and hookem hollways. PS, headlocks and matlocks are more erratic at higher speeds, in fact, that's where they shine!
