Our school family enjoyed an evening celebrating winter along with Olaf. We made snowflake crowns, played in the fluffy snow, and enjoyed a family-friendly snowball fight. We topped off our evening with pizza and Olaf's favorite snack mix. ❄

Before the holidays, our infant class made gingerbread cookies! The children helped mix and roll the dough and then used cookie cutters to make gingerbread friends!

After the cookies were baked, we sampled them. They were so yummy! 😋

Our families enjoyed an evening of love, laughter, crafts, visiting with Santa, and dinner to go! ❤️✨

We are excited to have Zippey the Elf join our school family for the month of December! Be sure to stop at the front entry daily. Zippey leaves a special note so you can join him on his adventure! 👀

Our pre-k friends have been working on their math skills!

Last Friday, we enjoyed our annual Thanksgiving feast with families and staff. We are so thankful for our wonderful school family! 🧡

Our event was a success! ⭐️

We enjoyed decorating lunch bags for Meals on Wheels, coloring pictures for Color a Smile, and writing thank-you notes for friends and family. We are excited to spread kindness throughout our community as we play our kindness game with our family.

Our infant friends made pumpkin bread to celebrate this fall season! They helped measure and stir the ingredients and then, of course, at it for snack! 🎃🍞

We are excited to celebrate at New Horizon Academy - Burnsville Transit! The kiddos will be learning about the apple life cycle as well as reading books and doing activities all about apples! 🍎

This week, our school-age friends visited the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest to deliver school supplies! Here are some of the things we learned during our visit:

🔹 The kids at Ronald McDonald House go to school (just like us!)
🔹 The Ronald McDonald House doesn't have curtains inside because they collect dust. Instead, they have outdoor metal curtains that cover the windows.
🔹 The Ronald McDonald House collects pop tabs which help them earn $20,000 every year!

This week, our toddler friends have been learning about different types of balls in their study. We've enjoyed fine motor activities activities such as tracing and sorting. We even got to make spaghetti and meatballs! 🏀🏐⚽⚾

We have some future architects in our Pre-K classroom! Our Pre-K friends are learning about buildings this week. 🏢🏗️

It’s a rainy afternoon, school is out, what a perfect idea! Our School Age friends enjoyed decorating bags for Meals on Wheels yesterday. We are so thankful for our community and thankful we were able to participate in this fun Caring Beyond the Classroom project!

Lots of fun things happening in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom! This week, our pre-k friends used their math skills to estimate and see how many drops of water would fit inside each circle. They also practiced their cooking skills by making veggie and fruit tortilla wraps today. They were delicious!

We are buzzing bees in our School Age classroom today! 🐝

As part of their bee study, our school-age friends made their very own Honey Glitter Slime! Each of our friends measured, poured, mixed, and kneaded each of the ingredients together.

Once complete, we poured our slime into honey jars for safe keeping!

Today, our school-age friends enjoyed learning all about bees! Our friend Erin from Pollinate Minnesota brought in pictures of bees, an enclosed beehive and honeycomb filled with bees, and five different flavors of honey for us to taste. We had so much fun learning all about bees! 🐝

Our Pre-K friends are learning all about the properties of mud this week. Today, they decided to try painting with it. We love having the opportunity to take our learning outdoors!
