Kelly Carter, a classically trained violinist, has played for over 25 years. She studied at MacPhail Center for the Arts for 6 years, as well as under Gwen Armwood, Stephan Hubig, Steven Leung, Alex Mezeritzki, Stella Anderson, and Pam Arnstein, Aaron Janse, and Sifei Cheng of the Minnesota Orchestra. Kelly plays first violin in the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and the Minnehaha Repertory Orches

We are very excited to offer MUSIC HISTORY at Carter Music this summer! Check out below for all the info, or DM us to sign up or for questions!

Spanning from the Medieval period through the late 20th century, we will learn how to identify and follow style characteristics from each period, while also thinking about how people from history answered questions like: How do we write music down for other people? What makes "good music" good? Is music really a language? Sign up today to discover all this and more!

Taught by Tricia Morgan, PhD ABD, this class is designed for all ages. Tricia currently teaches in the Music Department at the University of Minnesota.
